Food and entertainment was great. Haven't given 5 stars, because the itinerary stated we'd get a tango lesson or wine tasting, but received neither. Messaged Viator to query this but they never bothered to reply.
It was an incredible experience! From the first moment, at the reception to the apotheotic end of the tango show. We were comfortably accommodated at a table that allowed us to watch the show with peace, the dinner was wonderful with delicious dishes and good wine and impeccable service. The tango show was something unforgettable. I totally recommend to anyone who wants to have a memorable night in Buenos Aires!
After a lot of research, I picked La Ventana. It was incredible. The venue was beautiful and intimate. The service and the food were top notch. And the dancers were amazing. Just an amazing night. I didn’t get the impression it was “touristy” at all. And if so, so what? It was fun and incredibly entertaining. Plus, the steak was great. I looked at tons of shows and appreciated the diversity of tango dancers, singers and gaucho music.
This was so much fun and far exceeded expectations! The food was incredible, the staff was wonderful, but the entertainment blew us away!
The quality of the performers, singers, dancers, musicians, was excellent. Very entertaining and the skillful gaucho demonstrations were amazing. The waitstaff were very helpful and attentive.
Excellent show, enjoyed throughly with my son. Performances were exceptional!! Food was good at the restaurant and service as well.
The show was really very good...excellent dancers, musicians, and an intimate setting that lets the audience feel the energy and talent on the stage. The range of music was quite wonderful. My review rating is low because of great disappointment with the booking site. My emailed ticket and confirmation clearly state the show start time is 10:00 pm. However, the show started at 9:30 pm so we missed one third of the performance. The venue said it was the fault of the booking agent and I highly recommend NOT using viator, unless they would like to offer compensation for their mistake.
Excellent experience. Pick up was right on time. Very good driver and clean bus. Show check in was easy and smooth. Wine tasting was really good. Dinner was very good and the highlight of the night was the Tango Show, which was more than a tango show. Excellent. And I can not forget about the staff: they were friendly, funny and courteous/respectful. Don’t hesitate booking this tour.
I attended a tango performance at Familia Tango Show in Argentina with my husband, where we had a very concerning experience. During the show, two women who appeared to be part of a larger group walked past our table on their way to the restroom and spilled red wine on an elderly woman seated next to us. Surprisingly, no apology was offered. Unfortunately, on their return, they spilled another glass of red wine on the same woman, leaving her blouse stained and visibly upsetting her. We were shocked by both the behavior and the lack of accountability. We brought the situation to the attention of the establishment’s manager; however, the only action taken was to ask both parties to relocate. We agreed to move seats primarily to prevent any further incidents and to protect the elderly woman from additional distress. Later in the evening, the same individuals passed by our new table and again appeared unsteady. My husband politely asked them to be careful and avoid another incident. In response, one of the women became confrontational, caused a significant disturbance, and made threatening remarks toward us and the elderly woman. This experience was deeply disappointing. No guest should feel unsafe or distressed while attending what is meant to be an enjoyable cultural event. We had looked forward to experiencing the beauty and history of tango in Argentina, but instead, we left with a very negative and unsettling memory.
Great show with various performances. The theater itself has a beautiful historic charm that really enhances the experience. Seating is first-come, first-served, so arriving early is definitely worth it if you want a spot close to the stage. We were happy we chose the dinner option. While the appetizers and desserts were on the smaller side, the pumpkin soup and the meat dish were absolutely delicious and made the meal worthwhile.
