It's an UNESCO site - clean, safe, cheerful, festive, full of beautiful people, full of wonderful attractions, restaurants and bars, historical monuments and countless churches, it all meets affordable prices.
Walk around, see the beauty of the old buildings, monuments, churches and chathedrales, make photos, stop by the souvenir shops. Then in the evening you'd see lots and lots of people, an extremely talanted street musicians, steet food, handmade things, try some Ukrainian wine.
Be prepared for a step climb up some narrow steps, this is not for people with mobility issues but the views at the top are worth it.
Also a remarcable place with an amazing view of the entire city. Quite a climb but once you get there you can admire view of the churches and town hall. Going round you can see all sides of the city, not only the old town.
Quite a large area, the cemetery has significant history. An extraordinary collection of Ukrainian, Polish and German graves. Lots of interesting history and people buried here.

It was a long day but worth it. 6 hours drive from Kiev to Lviv in the very early morning then drove back to Kiev early evening for another 6 hours. In total you have 7 hours in Lviv, which is just enough to walk around the whole city, visit the major sights and have an early dinner/drinks. Lviv is so different from Kiev and it's very European style and full of little surprises. Every shops and cafes have their own styles here and no way you will forget the uniqueness. My guide Svit is very professional and knowledgeable. He showed me all the interesting stories behind the buildings/architecture and it was a great trip. Would recommend it to those who have limited time in Ukraine yet still want to explore more than just Kiev.
