Unique site of its kind. The Sedlec Ossuary should not be missed on such a tour. Beautiful cathedral. Recommendation to stop at a bar or pub to drink the local beer (which is called Kutna Hora).
Kutna Hora is definitely worth the trip. Must see the cathedral and Ossuary. Just be prepared that they are separated by several kilometers with each occupying one side to of the town. Additionally, the town has several nice shops and restaurants so plan sufficient time to make a complete visit.
Very friendly guide Sarah. Church closed because of a wedding. The organisation did not know this. Do they even prepare their tours? So, 2 x 1 hour in the bus to visit 1 small bone church during max. 30 minutes. Waste of money.
It is overpriced. The ossuary isn’t anything amazing. The town itself is just boring. You can spare those 60€ for something else.
The bone church was certainly unique, it is quite small so it does not take long to visit. The other churches we went too were also stunning and we learned lots of interesting facts from our tour guide.
Our tour guide, Phillip, was great fun and knowledgeable. Travelling by different trains and buses was more tiring than by minibus but was definitely more rewarding. The Ossary was very different from others I have seen and was amazing. A definite must see.
Great tour. Lots of things to see and worth the trip. You are not allowed to take pics at the Sedlec Ossuary bone Church, but of course everyone does. It is disingenuous for them to say no pics because its "disrespectful" but they have the pics on their IG and dont seem to have a problem charging for entry. So, take the pics. :) St. Barbara's was gorgeous as well.
It was a little disorganized as to getting back to Prague, guide was knowledgeable ! It should state that there is a lot of walking that was unclear from description pas we were seniors !
Our guide , Elijah, was amazing! He knows the history of Prague and Kutna Hora very well and shared his knowledge with us. He gently kept us all together and readily answered our questions. What an incredible place Kutna Hora is, so interesting, the ossuary was amazingly beautiful, St. Barbara’s cathedral did more to move me than St Peters at the Vatican. Great day trip, great guide!
It was worth the tour just to have someone help taking the train from Prague to Kutna Hora.. The train system in Czech is a bit daunting for first-timers… Otherwise it would’ve been better if the tour guide just took us from place to place and let us explore on our own. For example I think too much time was spent in that big church (not the bone church), and I’ve would’ve instead rather just explored Kutna Hora on my own. Also, to our tour guide, food was an after thought. We should’ve been offered the chance to get a meal right when we arrived in Kutna Hora. Instead we became very hungry and only had a little time to find food at the end of the tour just before we had to catch the train back to Prague. If you need someone help you buy train tickets and get you to and from Kutna Hora, *maybe* take this tour… Otherwise just figure it out yourself, and you can prob have a better time exploring on your own terms.
