Once we arrive in Kutaisi the first thing we do is a walking tour in the downtown. Here guide tells about history of Georgia and Kutaisi. After taking pictures at fountain group continues down to central park where are located statue of sister “Ishkhnelebi” and memorial of “9 April”. Afterwards we pass by Kutaisi city hall, Opera house and visit “Mon Plasir” arch. Then we pass by the first gymnasium and visit white bridge, then go through park of love and visit Golden marquee palace. Then we go to central grocery market called “Mtsvane Bazari”

This is a local wine bar in Kutaisi. Once we arrive there the host - Irakli tells us about the wines and other drinks in his bar. The table with glasses, wines and snacks is already settled up for us. We take seats and Irakli starts telling about the wine history, culture and winemaking techniques in Georgia. Then we start tasting wines one by one and doing food pairing with it. Once all 4 wines are over we finish with Chacha that is Georgian spirt drink and is made by grapes or wine distillation.

Do yourself a favour and book this tour! Constantin was a fabulous guide, and the wine and food were the best we had while in Georgia. The vineyard is a charming spot outside Kutaisi. Highly recommended.
