Kunming, Yunnan One Day Tour to Stone Forest Scenic Area

Today we visit the Stone Forest. (About 2 hours drive from Kunming, admission tickets and electric cart fees are included in the tour). The Stone Forest is the world's only karst landscape scenic area located in a subtropical plateau region. Known as the "Museum of Stone Forest," it is among the first batch of China's National Key Scenic Spots, China National Geopark, and World Geopark. During this trip, you will visit attractions including the Ashima Statue, Sword Peak Pond, Peak-Viewing Pavilion, Two Birds Feeding, Stone Forest Lake, and the Greater and Lesser Stone Forests. You'll traverse through a literal "forest" made of rocks, walking among strange rock formations that stand tall and majestic in various shapes and forms, listening to the stories that each stone has to tell. The Stone Forest has been designated as a "World Geopark" and "World Natural Heritage Site" by UNESCO. After the tour, we will return to Kunming by bus, concluding this journey.
