Great experience and an AWESOME GUIDE. Highly recommend Maho. Make sure to enjoy the wonderful views at the top of the castle
Our guide Nami was excellent with good knowledge of the castle and it's history. Her English was good but I initially had to get used to her accent. It turned out that on the day we went was a memorial day for the earthquake and admission was free, and so she bought us each a small souvenir gift. The rebuilding projects post-earthquake was fascinating and the castle was impressive. Really enjoyed it (despite the rain!). Nami explained a lot and answered all our questions
Kimi was a wonderful guide and knew everyone at Kumamoto Castle. The build and rebuild of the castle has a complicated history so having a guide was very worthwhile.
