Batu Caves is a limestone hill that has a series of caves and cave temples in Gombak, Selangor, Malaysia. Batu Caves in short also referred as 10th Caves or Hill for Lord Murugan as there are six important holy shrines in India and four more in Malaysia. The three others in Malaysia are Kallumalai Temple in Ipoh, Tanneermalai Temple in Penang and Sannasimalai Temple in Malacca. The limestone forming Batu Caves is said to be around 400 million years old. Some of the cave entrances were used as shelters by the indigenous Temuan people (a tribe of Orang Asli).
Royal Selangor Pewter was founded by Yong Koon in his little shop called Ngeok Foh (Jade Peace), Yong Koon handcrafted pewter objects mainly for ceremonial use, such as joss stick holders, incense burners and candle holders for altars of Chinese homes and temples. The pewter objects sold by Yong Koon were polished with "stone leaf" (Tetracera scandens), a wild tropical leaf of a fine, abrasive nature. With the arrival of British colonials, the offering expanded to include tankards, ashtrays and tea services. The brand was then known as Selangor Pewter. In the 1970s, the company started exporting, first to Singapore and Hong Kong and then to Australia. Towards the 1980s, the market expanded into Europe and later into Japan.
The Istana Negara or known as National Palace is the official residence of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong( Malaysia King ), the monarch of Malaysia. It is located along Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim northwestern Kuala Lumpur. The palace opened in 2011 and replaced the old Istana Negara which was located at a different compound in central Kuala Lumpur.
The National Monument is a sculpture that commemorates those who died in Malaysia's struggle for freedom, principally against the Japanese occupation during World War II and the Malayan Emergency, which lasted from 1948 until 1960. It is located in the Federal capital, Kuala Lumpur. The Malaysian Houses of Parliament is situated near the monument.
The National Mosque of Malaysia or known as Masjid Negara Malaysia) is a mosque in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It has a capacity for 15,000 people and is situated among 13 acres (53,000 m2) of gardens. Its key features are a 73-metre-high (240 ft) minaret and a 16-pointed star concrete main roof. The umbrella, synonymous with the tropics, is featured conspicuously – the main roof is reminiscent of an open umbrella, the minaret's cap a folded one. The folded plates of the concrete main roof are a creative solution to achieving the larger spans required in the main gathering hall. Reflecting pools and fountains spread throughout the compound. Completed in 1965, the mosque is a bold and modern approach in reinforced concrete, symbolic of the aspirations of a then newly independent nation.
Merdeka Square or known as Dataran Merdeka in local language is a square located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is situated in front of the Sultan Abdul Samad Building. Literally Independence Square, it was formerly known as the Selangor Club Padang or simply the "Padang" (meaning "field" in Malay) and was used as the cricket green of the Selangor Club (now the Royal Selangor Club). It was here the Union Flag was lowered and the Malaysian flag hoisted for the first time at midnight (time: 12:00 AM) on 31 August 1957. Since then, Merdeka Square has been the usual venue for the annual Merdeka Parade (National Day Parade).
The Kuala Lumpur railway station is a railway station located in main city center. Construction began in 1910 and was fully completed in 1917.It replaced an older station on the same site, the station was Kuala Lumpur's railway hub in the city for the Federated Malay States Railways and its successor Keretapi Tanah Melayu (English: Malayan Railways), before Kuala Lumpur Sentral assumed much of its role in 2001. Wonderful tour and wonderful guide. Very informative and knowledgeable. We were picked up from the Ritz Carlton on time and returned to the hotel at the endo of the tour. Careful driver. Highly recommended!
Nice tour and knowledgeable driver/guide. We booked late so that we could see the light show at Marina Bay, but apparently, not late enough. The driver said seeing the show would put us over out time, and there was no option to extend it an hour. So, we missed it. That was disappointing, but we still think it is a good tour.
We have a group of 10 adults. Mr. John is our driver. He speaks very good English and try his best to make sure we are on time to make the Twin Towers tour. Excellent service and comfortable van for 10 people. What I really like is the close communication with Mr. Sara who arrange everything for our group. He can be contact anytime through whatsapp until we meet our guide/driver. We all very please with the service Kuala Lumpur tour provided for us.
We went on two tours with our guide and he was informative, friendly and helpful and made the experience so personal. We would highly recommend him to everyone!
Great trip round the city - National Museum, Kings Palace, Mosque, Pewter Museum and Batu Caves. Crammed in lots and Sara recommended a great Indian place for lunch Passage thru India - very good food. Sara was very knowledgeable and friendly - didn't feel rushed at all and he was very flexible to our requests for sight seeing. Would highly recommend if you are wanting to see a lot of KL in a short time frame.
We had a very short trip of five days of Malaysia in July 2018. We stayed at Hotel Siri Pacific throughout the trip. We booked various city tour package with Kuala Lumpur tour and I must say we had a wonderful experience. They are really very professional at what they do. Right from day one we had amazing tour experience with them. Always right on time to pick us up. All the cars they used were neat and clean and in best condition. All the tour guides were very polite and courteous. They explained everything to us in detail, gave us ample time to visit the place, help us in shopping and guiding us in where to find what we wanted. We are really thankful to Mr. EDWARD who was with us for most of the time and gave us through insight of all the places. We were very impressed with his knowledge, explanation and ability to speak various languages also. We would definitely recommend them if you are planning to visit Malaysia.
