In Fort Kochi You will visit traditional Chinese fishing nets , St Francis church,Santa cruz Basilica church etc. After you will be transferred in Tuk Tuk(Auto Rickshaw) towards Dhobhi (local Laundry)and then through local streets visiting Old Hindu Temple and towards Mattancherry to visit historic Jew street where the Jewish community still exists after walks towards Dutch Palace, where the Cochin Royal family were living, now a museum under the Archeology. Later towards the Traditional Bazar market visiting Spice warehouses, Womens Co-operatives etc in the town.

Viator has put together an all encompassing itinerary! Biju Tours is an exemplary operator and the Guide Thomson made it a joyous and satisfying experience in the deadly heat of Kerala summer! The guide displayed deep knowledge of history of Fort Kochi Kerala and India at large! He enjoyed his role and went above and beyond in making it a memorable trip! Kudos to his willingness to give me a lift on an E-Scooter for the longer stretches of the tour and escape the rigour of the Kerala summer.Suffice it to say that narration of historical and cultural aspects were class apart! The tour has left me with a vivid image of Fort Kochi under the Portuguese,Dutch and the British colonizers. It was indeed a deeply satisfying heritage and I would commend Biju Tours and Mr.Thomson for the experience.

This was a great tour, very informative and covered all the main sights. Our guide spoke excellent English and was friendly and informative. He looked after us well as we took Tuk tuks when it got too hot and could always find a shady place for us to stand. Would highly recommend.

I joined Biju's walking tour and had such a good time. Biju is extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of the area, having grown up and lived all his life here. He is the only tour guide allowed to take you into certain places such as the spice warehouses and the candle makers. He knows everyone it seems and gave such a good picture and feel if what life is like as a local in Fort Kochi. Highly recommend. Book direct via WhatsApp for the best price!

Great tour with an excellent guide who is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Kochi and Kerala. I really enjoyed this experience and feel like I learned a lot of great history and information during the tour. I would definitely recommend for people to take this tour during their stay in Kochi to really have a deeper understanding and appreciation of Kochi and Kerala.

Superb experience, very informative, Biju brought us around and telling in depth stories on how the diverse communities come together, how the narrative and tradition changes as each different colonisers came. He tries to make sure we understand the history and stories thoroughly. We even bumped into Dr Shashi Tharoor!how lucky! While some of the tangible legacy may be gone, Biju, from his deep local perspective, has brought life to those past stories, we covered from Fort side to Mattancherry.
