The best trip ever , ZAFS tours really was kind and took care of everything , they were very responsible and responsive and I had a great time
It was a fantastic experience. Right from onboarding to day 1 to the summit to coming down. The porters were very helpful and our guides were extremely supportive. Israel lien as Me 100% made sure I made it to the top of Uhuru peak. Thank you for the experience.
It's called 'Zafs Experience 'and now I realise why.. That's exactly what they provide. The dedicated relationship manager, Virgie, patiently and promptly took care of all the queries involved in the planning. The arrangements and support provided were top class. The trek guides, like Eric, were jovial and kept the spirits up. Would love to experience the 'Experience' again. Ajay Agarwal India
I joined a group of 5 to trek Mt Kilimanjaro for 6 day through Marangu route. The entire experience provided by Zafs tours was better than I expected. From airport pickup, hotel accommodation in Moshi, amazing guides, ever helpful porters and healthy delicious hot meals including hot tea served while climbing and fresh juice served while descending from the summit, it was organized to perfection. To mention some names including our 3 friendly guides, Israel (100%) Erick and Yakubu looked after us the whole way and kept us entertained and in high spirits. Abu (stomach engineer) prepared awesome meals throughout and all 16 or so porters without whom it would have been an impossible task. I highly recommend Zafs tours if you are considering climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.
I had an unforgettable experience trekking the 6-day Marangu route with ZAFS Tours! Everything was extremely well organised from start to finish. Our guide was knowledgeable, motivating, and patient—his calm encouragement made a big difference during summit night. The porters were cheerful and hardworking, always ready to help with a smile. The food exceeded our expectations—delicious, fresh, and nourishing, especially considering the mountain conditions. The entire team made sure we were safe, comfortable, and confident every step of the way. Highly recommend ZAFS Tours for anyone planning a Kilimanjaro trek!
My son and I trusted ZAFS with our Kili climb and they did not disappoint. The guides, porters and the cook were all amazing. Israel and Aubrey ran a wonderful team, and Good Lick’s cooking rounded it out perfectly. ZAFS over-performed.
ZAFS are the best in business out there and we didn’t have to worry about a single thing since we arrived in Moshi. Even before that the communication from their team on transportation, stay and best practices was all crystal clear. The guides Jonathan and Sebastian took good care of us throughout the climb and boosted our morale all the way. On certain occasions when one of us was feeling relatively unwell, the team found creative ways to help and support us in the best way possible. Porters of the team even helper carry our daily backpacks on the summit night. Special to thanks to Zainab and team for even recommending food options in Moshi and making last minute accommodations to my safari itinerary. Strongly recommend them to fellow travelers and climbers.
We did the Kilimanjaro trek (6-day Marangu route) with ZAFS tours in Aug2024. They played a major role in making our climb successful. They helped us in every aspect of our climb right from getting our climbing gear ready to reaching the summit. Our entire climbing crew (Especially our guides) while being professional, were also a lot of fun ensuring we had an amazing time on the mountain. The crew helped us in every instance possible including carrying our daypacks on the summit night (when they realized it was getting tough for us), quickly adjusting the food menu to suit our taste etc.. Totally recommend ZAFS tours for their hospitality and professionalism. Would love to do more trips in Tanzania with them!
It was an amazing experience. The team was very fun, kind and caring, and treated us very well and encouraged us throughout and made the Kilamanjaro climb so much better. They fed us great food, carried our stuff, and made sure we were comfortable throughout!
We chose to do the Marangu route with ZAFS tours and had a great experience! We had minimal experience climbing mountains and though we could have trained a lot more, our guides Alex and Moshi as well as all of our kilifighters were motivational, supportive and incredibly patient in helping us safely reach the top. A few instances that stood out: 1. Right from the start, our guides shared their wealth of experience in helping us ensure we had the right equipment to climb the mountain, helping us choose what we needed from the rental equipment store before the climb. 2. As a member of our group was quite slow, Alex patiently guided her to each camp while the rest of us moved ahead. On a particularly long day, a few of the kilifighters made their way down the mountain to meet her with tea and snacks for energy for the rest of the way. 3. The food (especially the soup) was very good and the cook was kind enough to make adjustments for a picky eater in our group as requested. 4. Alex and Moshi have a lot of knowledge about the mountain and were able to share information and answer questions about the terrain and history, even pointing out different plants/animals only found on the mountain. The guides and the kilifighters also shared the culture of the mountain through songs and dance. 5. One family member did not climb and the team kindly provided updates for him through a Whatsapp group throughout our climb, especially when we didn’t have wifi/phone battery. Although it was a lot tougher than expected, we are incredibly appreciative of the patience and kindness shown by the entire team! If we were to return, we wouldn’t choose anyone else to go with!
