Kilimanjaro climb by Lemosho Route (7-day)

So pleased with my experience with Altezza. Every detail was considered, every moment carefully planned. Our guides--Frank, Jafari, Ally, Kibacha, and the whole team--were attentive and concerned with the health and safety of the whole group. The cooks produced miraculous and healthful dishes every meal, keeping us well-fueled. Organization from the main office was outstanding. Can't fault a thing. Thank you!

My 7 day Lemosho hike to the top of Mt Kilimanjaro was a success, much thanks to Altezza's fantastic staff and organisation. The staff were both professional and genuinely personal and caring in everything from medical checks to meals to advice on clothing and equipment. Throughout the hike, I felt safe and supported. As a pescatarian- getting fresh fish for dinner-was a very pleasant surprise. And the Altezza guides encouraging us up to 5900 m on summit night with chants and songs was incredible. I would do it again just for that. Thank you Altezza!

This was the experience of a lifetime. We knew the mountain would be special but what we did not expect was how special the crew would be. Frances was a great leader, supported every step of the way by Godfrey and Ally. Victor, Momadei and Peter provided the essential additional help when most needed. All week we were perfectly fueled by the dream team of Richard and Living. We won’t ever forget our time with Living. The real heroes were our porter teammates, what you do defies belief. To all our new friends, your humility, energy, passion and happiness in everything you do was a privilege to behold and be a part of. It was very clear to me that Altezza have created a unique culture that made us very grateful to be part of for our time in Tanzania. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I had an amazing experience with Altezza Travel from start to finish. The communication before the trip was excellent. We received so much useful information, everything was explained clearly and in detail, and any questions we had were answered quickly. It really felt like we were supported every step of the way, even before arriving in Tanzania. During the climb, the whole team was simply outstanding. The guides were incredibly experienced, professional and knowledgeable, and there was always someone available to help with absolutely anything. They didn’t just take care of the logistics – they also kept our spirits up, motivated us when things got tough, and genuinely cared about everyone in the group. That made a huge difference. The entire crew worked incredibly hard. The food was excellent, the tents were warm and comfortable, and everything was organised to a very high standard. We honestly couldn’t have asked for more. Something else that really stood out to me was how positively the local team spoke about Altezza as an employer. They told us they are treated well, looked after, well fed, and that the tipping system is transparent and fair. It was reassuring to know that the people working so hard on the mountain are respected and valued by the company. That matters a lot to me when choosing who to travel with. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Altezza Travel again, and I would happily recommend them to anyone planning to climb Kilimanjaro or explore Tanzania. All I can say is WOW! What an incredible, once in a lifetime experience we had on Mount Kilimanjaro with the Altezza team. We are beyond grateful to our incredible team of guides, crew and porters. Our lead guide Frances truly made the crew feel like a family over the 7 days and the team work demonstrated was amazing. The summit night was truly one of the most challenging things I have done yet I never feared for my groups safety knowing how experienced and prepared our guides and summit assistants were. A special thank you to Godfrey whose gentle confidence in me and kind and calming support kept me going all the way to the top. Along with Godfrey and Frances, the summit team of Mohamedi, Peter, Victor and Ally was truly 5 stars. The food from our amazing chef Richard was incredible. The skill it took to cook those meals on the side of a mountain had us in awe. And of course our friend Living who kept us fueled even when we had loss of appetite. He knew what we needed every step of the way! I will finish with a huge shout out to our porters, the unsung heros, of the mountain. None of this would be possible without them. After nearly 10 hours trekking from base camp to summit and back down they were there to greet us back to camp with smiles truly excited we had made it to the roof of Africa. A once-in-a-lifetime experience. I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of this Kilimanjaro journey. My sincere thanks to Altezza and its entire team, from the office staff (Kristina and team) to the guides (Frank and his team), cooks, and porters. Their professionalism, dedication, and attention to detail were outstanding from start to finish. I felt safe, supported, and well cared for throughout the entire trek. I only have the highest regards for our time with Altezza. From the booking process, throughout the entire 7-day trek, and through departure, Altezza was nothing but top remarks. From the start, Polina, our sales rep, was incredibly responsive. Her quick answers and knowledge on booking eased any worry we had about not arriving on time. The Aishi Machame hotel she booked us was wonderfully secluded with hearty, healthy breakfasts that hit the spot before we started the trek. Now for the AMAZING trekking team. We were guided by our fearless leader, Polite, who was above and beyond caring and attentive. I frequently get ill when I travel, so it was no surprise that I got a bit sick on Day 4. Polite made sure that I had the care I needed to be healed enough to summit. He and the amazing supporting guides (Regan, Adam, Exoud, Simon, & Marwa) checked my vitals regularly and got me medicine and lots of tea to help heal up. There is no way I could have made it to the top without this team. On summit night, Andrea was incredible and always by my side with water, electrolytes, and tea to help make sure I had enough energy to summit. We loved the energy the whole team brought on the mountain. They kept our spirits up with singing & good conversation. Beyond the actual hiking, the Head Chef Malaki was incredible. We were well fed and I especially appreciated the personal touch of a garlic, ginger, lemon, honey paste he made to help me heal. He and the waiters Pasqual and Ishmael also arranged a cake for us on the last night to help us celebrate our honeymoon. We couldn't believe in our wildest dreams we would eat cake on the mountain! The accommodations and camp team were also amazing. Incredibly comfortable throughout the whole 7 days and wonderful people to spend time with. Kafume & Billdard T. brought us tea and coffee in the morning and had our tent, mattresses, and gear set up before we arrived. This team and all the porters who supported were truly amazing, making sure the trek went without any problems. I really cannot thank this team at Altezza enough for making our honeymoon dreams come true. I whole-heartedly recommend anyone planning a Kilimanjaro trek to book with Altezza!

I booked a Kilimanjaro trek with Altezza and would highly recommend them. As a solo female I felt completely safe and so well looked after. Even before booking, it was so easy to get in touch with Altezza via WhatsApp to ask questions. They were really responsive and clear in their communication, everything was very thorough. I was picked up directly from the airport in a van with WiFi, and the hotel I stayed at through Altezza (Aishi Machame) was clean and comfortable. The trek itself was well organised and I can't speak highly enough of our guides and porters, who were all so friendly, positive and knowledgable. We were a group of 14 and had 68 staff supporting us! The food during the trek was amazing quality, as was all the gear I hired from Altezza. It's obvious why Altezza are so well reviewed - from start to finish communication was excellent and they really do think of everything.

My wife and two friends joined me in this fantastic adventure to the rooftop of Africa. I had all planned months ago to spend my 50th birthday in the Africa biggest mountain. Hard to put in words what we all experienced in these past 7 days: Nature, weather, culture all amazing as expected, so I’m gonna use this opportunity to emphasize the Altezza Crew. Kombe and all his guides staff, porters, cooks, cleaners were above and beyond all the time! Kombe leadership was perfect. He was always ready to give us a hand, an advice or even a smile to boost our confidence up! Brown, Israel, Paschal, Joseph, Beltran, just to name a few were unbelievable friendly like brothers! They were not there just for path guidance but to share stories, informations about the region and the country which made our journey even more extraordinary, like we were hiking with our best friends!
