Rain didn’t dampen our fun! We ended up having a private tour (4 of us) and our guide was awesome. So friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great time! It looked like we were in a storybook.
Absolute highlight of our Alaskan cruise. Teague was an amazing guide. The hike was just the right amount of activity level. He engaged all of us and was very informative about local flora, fauna and history.
Our family of five (ages 23 -67) thoroughly enjoyed our guided hike with Teague. Pickup and drop off was straightforward and easy. We lucked out with great weather and the hike by the lake and up through the forest was beautiful! Teague told us all about the nature around us. He was very personable and ensured that we all had a good hike. If your time is limited in Ketchikan, I highly recommend this tour as a way to get away from the crowds and let a local show you some of the beautiful sights in the Tongass National Forest.
Highly recommend! We booked direct with Teague for our stop in Ketchikan on Celebrity Solstice. We had an amazing day, beautiful hike and Teague was a wealth of information about the forest and the history of Ketchikan and Tongass National Forest. Such an incredible view from the top - the waterfall was beautiful!

Amazing beautiful hike with a great guide! It rained the entire time and we had a 2 year old hiking with us that cried on the way down haha so I’m sure we’re a memorable group for our guide! We still talk about this hike and how wonderful it was, worth every minute! Loved the hot tea at the top! Unforgettable landscape!
Teague was an easy going, very knowledgeable guide and made the hike great! Rain forest is amazingly lush and the scenery along the way and at the chute was beautiful. Would definitely recommend this experience!
Teague is amazing. He knows so much about the forest and shares it in a really engaging way. Tongass forest is beautiful. And Teague adjusted to our pace but still was able to get us up to the Avalanche Chute in the time we had. It was super fun to hike with him! Definitely a trip worth taking.
This hike was great! Very informative and very interesting. The hike wasn’t too challenging, just a little steep in spots but it was absolutely doable. Small group made it feel more personable. View from the top was incredible and the lake was beautiful! Definitely recommend.
We finally had a blue sky day in Alaska and what an amazing way to celebrate hiking with Teague in the Tongass NF. Yes there were steep parts but the pace was steady and our guide was kindly and attentive. Tongass is a place apart. It has air that tastes like your favorite ice cream and green mossy views to calm any stressed soul. It was truly memorable to be in amongst the ferns, the dabbled sunlight, the fallen moss covered giant trees and to learn about the forest, the people of the Tongass and to hike it under blue skies in Alaska. Oh so worth all the effort!
