We send our most experienced captains on these trips because they demand high levels of creativity in targeting a combination of different species. Booking this trip gives you the freedom to define the experience. You may choose from a variety of vessels, target halibut, salmon, lingcod, rockfish, pacific cod, Dungeness crab, or chase sightseeing opportunities and wildlife. We also love to combine this fishing excursion with dining experiences featuring your fresh catch; either at our rustic fish camp deep in the National Forest; or a chef-prepared meal at our restaurant at the harbor after your return. This trip is about crafting an experience that will fit your unique needs and interests. When you book the boat, we look forward to working with you to build an unforgettable Alaskan adventure. You may have up to 6 anglers onboard.

If you're looking for a premier fishing experience, look no further. The entire crew was professional, welcoming, and super helpful throughout the whole trip. Our captain was amazing, expertly navigating the waters and making sure everyone on board was safe, comfortable, and catching fish. 10/10 experience, we will definitely be booking with them again.
Bo was honestly the best tour guide you could ask for. He was so good with the kids and cared that we caught fish and had a great experience. We even got to feed a bald eagle! I would only want to go with him if we did it again!

Our family of five took a private charter, 24’ boat with Dennis, 6 hour excursion. While we only caught two halibut and one cod and the cost was more than the entire cost to add the three adult kids to the cruise itself, we absolutely loved it! Dennis was so real and enjoyable and accommodating. He tried multiple locations when so many were having issues of no catches. We would love to come back to stay in Ketchikan just to do this a few more times with Dennis. So worth it and so thankful for the wonderful experience he provided today!

Captain Andy Thurman did a great job and made our trip a delight. Capt Andy’s quips and jovial style was welcoming and made for an awesome interactive excursion. After an hour trip out 30 nautical miles, Capt Andy anchored at a spot with a depth of 280’ and we were reeling in fish within 15 minutes. My whole group caught halibut and cod. What a wonderful time and I would highly recommend this trip. With fishing, as with hunting, nothing is ever guaranteed, but just being out on the water in Alaska, surrounded by islands, water fowl, spotting dolphins and a surprise visit from a whale, makes this a special excursion worth your time and expense to enjoy with family and friends. And yes, catching fish is the bonus! Enjoy the smoked salmon dip on the trip back and reminisce on the time you had on the water. Cheers and I’m hoping to be back soon!
What a beautiful day on the water with our great guide Andy! It was past the salmon spawn so we switched things up and started going after Halibut. 10 min left, clock was ticking and my wife and I both land keepers. Andy Thurman was a phenomenal guide and would highly recommend him if you get the chance! Local to Ketchikan, he loves what he does and was great company!
The over the phone booking was easy. Our guide was right on time to meet us from the cruise ship. Check in paperwork was smooth and quick. We left the dock as scheduled. The fishing boat was really nice, very well kept, and comfortable seating and weather protection. Our guide knew all the great spots. We had fish on our lines within a few minutes. The management staff provided great customer service. We also utilized the process and ship fish home feature.
