Nightmare in Quinta da Vinagra

I was on Camino Santiago de Compostela, the Portuguese way. I had a couple of free days and wanted to do some sightseeing in Arcos de Valdevez. Booking.com recommended Quinta da Vinagra, saying the place is 350 metres from the centre. I booked 2 nights. I arrived by bus with .y heavy muchila. I got off the bus, turned on google maps expecting to walk 350 metres. Google said 2.5 km. and no public or otherwise transportation. I started walking, uphill carring my heavy bag. The further I walked the steeper the mountain. I finally made it. It took 2 hours. I was completely exhausted. The place, in the .iddle of a forest, no other house to be seen, seemed deserted. Nobody answered the phone. I called Booking, they managed to get hold of the owner. He arrived an hour later. He showed .e to my room, explained a few things and vanisbed. I was left alone, nobody around, nowhere to go no place to get something to eat. I could not sleep, I was afraid, listening to the noises from the forest I waited for morning to come. Tired, hungry, loneley and very upset I slowly made my way down. It took 1.5 hours with my heavy bag. I had to wait another 3 hours for the bus. On Sundays buses are not frequent. It is almost a month since I went through nightmare and I am still reliving it. Neither Booking.com nor the owener suggestet any compensation, not even arefund for the second night which I walked away. Even with a car it is a steep, narrow, winding path
