Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

Luau Kalamaku combines traditional luau elements - a Hawaiian feast, hula dancing and an imu (underground oven) with an award winning, theatrical performance. Gather under a massive open air pavilion to enjoy live music and a buffet dinner of local Hawaiian favorites. Grab a Mai Tai from the open bar before the lights dim, signaling the start of the theatrical and fiery show which chronicles the story of ancient Hawaiian's epic sea voyage from Tahiti to Kauai. Optional add-ons are available including convenient roundtrip transportation from many Kauai hotels, a train ride around the heart of Kilohana Plantation or a seating upgrade to bring you even closer to the main stage.

Pickup Locations & Times
Luau Kalamaku operates on the island of Kauai. Ticket office doors open at 4:45 PM. Train and transportation are only included with packages that specifically mention these options. They cannot be added after booking, and packages with these inclusions may sell out—if you don’t see them listed, they are no longer available. If you’ve booked with transportation, please call Luau Kalamaku at least 24 hours before your luau to confirm your pickup time and location. Pickups begin at 3:30 PM, with arrival at the luau between 5:00–6:00 PM depending on traffic. We may pick up from a nearby location instead of your exact lodging. Private residences and Airbnbs are not serviced. Your booking may be canceled without a refund if you do not contact the tour operator to reconfirm.

Loved the story behind the luau, different than the ones from the ones I went to on Maui and Oahu. It was well organized and timing of everything was very smooth! Food was typical luau food, it was tasty. The whole experience was well worth it.
My second time going, it’s so beautiful! A wonder story, with wonderful vendors, and good food.
Just book the reservation! It’s well worth the price and any kind of traveling you have to do to get here! The grounds are beautiful, the staff is kind and friendly, the food is delicious and plentiful, and the entertainment is ridiculously good! My husband and I were in awe of how talented all of the performers were and their stamina throughout the show was impressive! So glad we went and I would go again!
Besides having vendors,maybe add more games or crafts before Luah begins. The show itself is wonderful. The food is good
I got food poisoning so not feeling so hot so I really can’t give a good or positive review There needs to be allergy warnings on all food

This is one of the best Luaus I’ve ever been to the show was amazing. Traveling with a large group of 16 our accommodations of seating were perfect as we had adults and children. The food was delicious. The venue very inviting highly recommend you give it a try.
If you want to do a luau this is the one to do. The storytelling and show was amazing! The food was also good. The entire family had a great time.
The show was spectacular. The food was just okay. At 170 a person, I would expect the food to be better, it was like school cafeteria food on a bad day. I ate someplace else when we left.
The food was not the best. Not too many different options to choose from. Very limited . The entertainment was awesome! There was 8 in our group with 2 different reservations. Did not know there was assigned seating when reservations were made. When we got there because of the two different reservations we had to sit at two different tables and they wouldn't let us move, not even the assigned seat at our table. We've been to quite a few luau's on the island, Kauai and never experienced this assigned seating experience. We've enjoyed the Smith's Family luau's the best.

We had a great time! Food was alright, but the entertainment was so worth it! Staff was very welcoming, and the craft market had some neat items! Henna tattoos were a fave!
