Pashupatinath Temple is one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, located on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River. Boudhanath Stupa is one of the largest and most important Buddhist stupas in Nepal. Boudhanath is not only a center of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal but also a hub of spiritual energy. You can walk around the stupa, spinning prayer wheels and absorbing the peaceful atmosphere. Kathmandu Durbar Square is a historical heart of the city, where the ancient Royal Palace is located. Built in the 1880s with influences of British architecture, the palace is surrounded by spectacular temples, courtyards, and statues. One of the most unique experiences here is witnessing the Kumari, the living goddess, who resides in a beautifully decorated palace. We built a really good relationship with Rajan, the proprietor, and his advice and suggestions proved beneficial in adding to our whole Nepal travel enjoyment. He even helped us change travel plans that we had made prior to meeting him, trusting his local knowledge to avoid potential disruptions to flights etc. He personally took us on some tours in the Kathmandu area but even when we ventured further afield in Nepal he has all the right contacts to make for smooth travels. We highly recommend Blissful Himalayas for all travel needs within Nepal.
