The Swoyambhunath Temple, also known as the Swoyambhunath Stupa or Monkey Temple, is one of the most significant and ancient religious sites in Nepal. Patan Durbar Square is a historic royal palace complex located in the heart of Lalitpur, also known as Patan, in the Kathmandu Valley, Nepal. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its stunning display of ancient Newar architecture, intricate wood and metal craftsmanship, and cultural heritage. The square is home to numerous temples, shrines, and the royal palace, which served as the residence of the Malla kings. Key attractions within the complex include the Hiranya Varna Mahavihar, Mahabouddha Temple, and the iconic three-story Krishna Mandir. The square is a hub of religious and cultural activities, reflecting the rich history and artistic traditions of the region. Boudhanath Stupa, also known as Boudhanath or the Boudha Stupa, is one of the largest and most important Buddhist stupas in Nepal. The stupa, believed to have been built in the 5th century, features a large mandala design and is adorned with the all-seeing eyes of Buddha, symbolizing wisdom and compassion. Pashupatinath Temple is one of the holiest Hindu temples in Nepal, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and is located on the banks of the Bagmati River in Kathmandu. Pashupatinath is the site of numerous religious rituals, including the cremation of deceased individuals along the river, which is considered a path to moksha (liberation from the cycle of rebirth). This tour is great if you don’t have much time and want to see everything in one day. Our guide Ramesh was the best guide.helped us get details information about the place we went. I arranged a tour from Kathmandu to Nagarkot to watch the sunrise, hike to Changu Narayan, and then visit Bhaktapur. The guide, Raj, was very knowledgeable and took me to some local shops, which was nice! Next time I'll definitely join a trekking tour!
