The 4 of us really enjoyed our tour in Olympia. Charis our guide was so informative, he was also very friendly and looked after us so well. He was waiting for us when we stepped off the ship. Comfortable and clean vehicle with safe driving. Arrived back to the cruise ship in plenty of time. Would definitely recommend this tour!
Stathis was an excellent driver for our family and very accommodating in creating a tour experience that avoided the crowds and allowed us to enjoy our time in Katakolon/Olympia. The Olympia guide booked by the company was fantastic as well!
When we got on our cruise we were notified that our shore excursion had been canceled for lack of English speakers. That left us scrambling for something to do in Katakolon. I reached them by email the day before the trip, and they had availability. For a price lower than the ship our driver Stathis provided transportation to Olympia, a trip to a honey farm , and then to an olive oil factory. At Olympia we had to buy our own tickets but they are inexpensive and audio guides are available. They then took us to a honey farm, that was really nice, and finally to an Olive oil factory. The whole day was dedicated to us. No lines, no tour buses. A pleasant relaxing day in Katakolon.
Our tour guide Nick was great, very knowledgeable, and helpful to our friends with mobility issues. I just didn't find the museum or Olympic gardens that interesting compared to Athens or Crete. I would have stayed on the Ship and relaxed instead.
This was an amazing trip with personal insights from Stathis. He was wonderful on local history local politics and cultural aspects we found remarkable. His Many people at was comfortable and the personal service was worth every cent!!
We had an excellent driver named Niko who we really enjoyed speaking to. He brought us to the sites (we visited Olympia, a honey farm and an olive oil facility.) and we loved all of it. This isn’t a tour per se, Niko didn’t walk around with us. But he was informative as he took us from place to place. Olympia was even better than I expected. We had a great day!
This was simply a driver who did not speak very good English. A booklet with pictures was handed to us about Olympia. The bee farm was a bit of a ripoff, charging 10 Euros per person for a glass of juice and a cookie, with an explanation of how the bees produce honey. Not worth it
Took a private tour due to some family handicaps. Even if no handicaps would have done private anyway. Dimitri was amazing. Knowledgeable, helpful, passionate about his country. It was a truly truly an amazing day. Full of some surprises too. Would totally recommend this. As for Dimitri it was like having a family member show you around.
Katherine was an excellent guide. She was knowledgeable and had an excellent command of English. The icing on the cake was a visit to a local honey farm. Klio, the fourth generation owner did a beautiful job of explaining bee keeping and the history of small family farms in this part of Greece.
The driver was polite and reliable. The ruins were extremely interesting, well worth the trip. The honey farm was informative and the beach excursion was relaxing and beautiful.
