Itinerary
After a scenic half-hour drive through the beautiful Greek countryside, we arrive at Kourouta Beach — one of the largest, sandiest, and most stunning beaches in the region. Entrance to the beach is free. You can choose to wander freely, find your own private spot along the endless golden sands, and enjoy a peaceful swim. Or, if you prefer, you can settle at one of the many organized beach sections offering refreshments, local treats, and sunbeds. We spend approximately two and a half hours at the beach — plenty of time to relax, swim, and soak up the sun. Afterwards, we meet at the designated meeting point and return comfortably to the cruise ship.

First restaurant with chairs on beach great food, quiet beach. Sand bar and cool water certainly helped.
I booked this beach transportation to do with two of my teenagers who didn't want to explore the ruins of Olympia. Communication was very good and we were able to find our meeting point easily. We were a group of approximately 10 people from the cruise and were transported on a very comfortable 20-person bus with great air conditioning. We had chosen to leave at 9:15, so when we got to the beach it was quiet and we had our pick of sun lounges. By the time we left to meet our guide and head back to the cruise ship, the beach was packed! It was a beautiful day in mid-june, and the water in the Ionian sea was very clear and cold. We ordered drinks and lunch from the waiters on site. Prices were reasonable considering we were on the beach. Everything flowed very smoothly and our guide was very kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend this as an alternative to exploring Olympia.
Beautiful beach club called the cabana with excellent food. Guide was friendly. Trip was worth it. No brainer.
Wonder I’ll trio to the beach. My teens loved the waves there and it was fun for them to jump through them: also a good restaurant and free beach chairs. Perfect beach day! Perfect amount of time, to get back for some shopping! There’s a lot of fun shopping by the cruise port. Comfy bus!
It was a bit cool for the beach so our guides suggested we could also go up the street and tour the monastery which was perfect. We also took.a boat ride available at the drop.off point.
the excursion was wonderful, easy location to find the office, right off the ship. we were picked up by a big comfy bus to a very nice beach with service in Katakolon. Though, it was only a 3 hr excursion, it allowed us enough time to rest and not worry about our return to ship.
Quick walk off the cruise. You meet at a cute little store in town and they walk you to the bus. They take you to the beach and were given the option of two pick up times to return. The beach has several restaurants that allow you to use their chairs and restrooms if you purchase from them. We had their mixed sampler that was amazing! Overall a very good experience and value.
Very kind guide, knows a lot of languages. Quick Service! Congratulations :) the beach is very long and pleasant for a day at sea!
Nice clean beach with yellow sand and cabanas. Place to change and outside shower. Drinks available. A/C bus round trip. Good experience.
I visited Katakolon Beach, very nice shame about the weather conditions, most of the beaches allow you to use sunbeds and umbrella asking only for the drink, the beach is very nice (korouta beach) clean
