Get captivated by the Karen Blixen museum which is inspired by Karen's life story who was one of the pioneer coffee farmers in Nairobi. She also inspired the making of the renowned movie 'Out of Africa'. The Giraffe Centre is a conservation destination made famous by Daisy Rothschild, a rescued giraffe calf found on the western border of Kenya. Tour the semi-wild center and learn about the life cycle and mating habits of these towering animals, then watch them being fed. You'll also learn about conservation efforts surrounding the giraffes. Wander the stunning nature trail that winds along the Gogo River, and take a chance at spotting giraffes in the wild, too.

The Karen Blixen is a home built in 1912, and was the home of the iconic author of 'Out of Africa'-Karen Blixen. It was opened to the public in 1986 as a museum where visitors get have guided tours of the house features, rooms designed in both the original decor and with props from the 1985 film. See Karen Blixen’s drawings and paintings, a film screening room,a documentary exhibit on her life and work.
The Giraffe Center is home to endangered Rothschild giraffes, only found in the semi-arid regions of Africa where trees and bushes are plentiful.This is a very unique place to see and learn about the tallest animal species; The Giraffe.

Excellent tour hosted by Paul. We were well looked after throughout, and also took us to additional spots outside of the itinerary including the Kazuri bead factory and some additional Karen Blizen frequented spots. Genuine, interesting and approachable tour guide who is more than just a driver for us. Whilst it is a half day tour and timings might be tightbfor bigger groups to see both sites comfortably, he does ensure you get the most out of both sites. If you book the later slot (12.30pm) be prepared your return to your hotel will mean getting stuck in the famous Nairobi rush hour traffic! Highly recommend and if we return, we will use again.

We travelled to the Giraffe center in Nairobi and the Karen Blixen Museum. Our guide Paul did an excellent job of showing us these sights as well as a couple of neat side trips.

Loved our guide, James. Very informative and set us up with great tours and experiences at the Giraffe Center and the Karen Blixen Museum. Also, made a side trip to the Bead factory. Paul, the guide, was very friendly and attentive, making sure everything went smoothly. The museum is rather for people interested in Karen Blixen, whereas the Giraffe Center offers a nice form of infotainment: feeding giraffes and learning about them.

We had a fantastic day tour with the tour guide, Paul. He was very thorough in introducing the Giraffe centre and the Karen Blixen museum. Also took us to various shops for souvenir. We highly recommend this half tour.

I truly enjoyed the tour, the giraffe centre was a great experience and the museum of Karen Blixen brought me back in time. Paul was a wonderful guide , he took great photos, gave advice how to feed the Giraffes. He sas very knowledgeable and shared many stories.i fully recommend this tour and Paul the guide. Thank you 😊

Roselyne was very responsive in the reservation process and very accommodating in adding several stops to our tour to meet our specific requests. Our driver, Ken, spoke excellent English and was very helpful to my wife who has mobility issues. Whatever your needs are in Nairobi you need look no further.
