Founded in 710, Amanawa Shrine is Kamakura's oldest Shinto shrine, and this sacred space remains a peaceful sanctuary today. Your journey begins with a nostalgic Enoden train ride, followed by a pleasant walk through charming alleys toward the shrine, where our guide will share the fascinating story of how the Kamakura shogunate began.
The iconic Great Buddha of Kamakura, a designated National Treasure and a breathtaking masterpiece of Japanese Buddhist sculpture. After capturing the perfect photos, we will stroll along the vibrant main street where you can stop by the unique souvenir shops and enjoy delicious street food.
The Hase area is famous for its charming cafe culture. We will take a relaxing break at a hidden, cozy traditional folk house cafe tucked away from the main streets—a secret spot loved by locals. Enjoy a peaceful moment with one complimentary drink included in your tour.
Experience one of Kamakura's most picturesque views—the Enoden retro train passing right in front of a historic shrine dedicated to a brave samurai. While photography is restricted inside the shrine grounds for sacred preservation, your guide will show you the exact, designated spots to capture this stunning, iconic shot safely and respectfully.
After a short, pleasant stroll through the nostalgic backstreets of Sakanoshita, your guide will lead you up a hidden hillside path. At the top, you’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking, panoramic view of the Kamakura coastline stretching out beneath you. This secret viewpoint is a true hidden gem that most tourists never find—the perfect spot to take unforgettable photos and feel the refreshing ocean breeze.
After taking in the view from above, we will head down to Yuigahama Beach. Feel the refreshing ocean breeze and touch the water. If you visit during the summer, the beach comes alive with vibrant "Umi-no-Ie" (local beach houses) where you can enjoy drinks, food, and music right on the sand. The tour will comfortably conclude here or at Hase Station.
