Natürlich darf hierbei der Genuß ausgewählter Kölsch Sorten nicht fehlen! - Mindestalter: 18 Jahre, keine Kostümierungen in den Brauhäusern erlaubt! - Bitte beachte, dass es für diese Tour zwei Optionen gibt: mit und ohne Getränke. - Die Option mit Getränken beinhaltet 3 Kölsch. Softdrinks sind in diesem Preis nicht enthalten.

This tour addresses people who are interested in interesting information about the city scattered by tastings of three different traditional beers in selected rustic brewhouses. We start together in front of the Cologne Cathedral which has been added to the UNESCO World Heritage List. Be amazed by its greatness! Next we go on to the Alter Markt in order to visit the brewhouses. Let’s get in touch with the special mentality of the Cologne people who are known for their carnival passion and for being highly open-minded and friendly. Our tourguide shows you the right drinking patterns and explains more about the special culture of the city. He is also willing to provide you with his personal survival tips for Cologne so that you are perfectly prepared for your stay in the city. Moreover, we lead you to popular spots such as the “Hennes am Dom” as well as the “Heinzelmännchenbrunnen” and other interesting historical sites. Cologne is not only full of great brewhouses but also of a variety of small kiosks, the so called “Büdchen”. The tour is providing you answers next to others to the following questions: • Why is „Kölsch“ much better then „Altbier“? • What means Köbes, Kranz, Pittermännchen and Halve Hahn? • What is worse than the pest and protestants? • How much does the Cologen Cathedral cost? We visit three of the following brewhouses: • Gaffel am Dom – the oldest monumet at „Alter Markt“ with rustic ambience • Brauhaus FRÜH – the largest brewhouse of the city • Brauhaus Sion – thanks to Hans Sion Kölsch is still brewed! • Peters Brauhaus –one of the newest breweries in Cologne • Brauhaus „Sünner im Walfisch“ – Sünner is known for Cologne tradition amongst beer-experts • Brauhaus en d’r Salzgasse – the former brewery „Zur Täsch“

Make sure and pay attention to selecting the proper language. I will take responsibility for that. That being said before I knew it was an issue myself and 7 of my coworkers meet for the tour. The man informed me it was for German only speaking. I said that was fine since most places spoke English in Germany and we didn't care. He refused to take us and said I needed to call and reschedule. We are leaving the area and dont have time to reschedule. Im out almost 200 usd. I understand ultimately its my fault for not paying more attention when booking but the guide made no concessions for us and pretty much acted like tough luck. Never again.
We had booked the Kölsch and Brauhaus tour and were joyfully surprised because there were only two of us. Our guide Marcel took us through the history of the city of the cathedral and the Cologne breweries. We realized how much he loved his city. He explained everything in detail, with many nice anecdotes and answered all questions. The tour with Marcel was a lot of fun.
We had the Kölsch tour with Finn yesterday... I have to say, we were all positively surprised. Very interesting information Finn had at hand. He also conveyed this in a very casual and sympathetic way and also addressed every one of our questions, even if we once wandered off topic. Yes and of course always a drinking stop, great wars

Our guide Marcel has been able to tell us a lot of interesting things about the Cologne breweries as well as about Cologne city history. Marcel had an incredibly profound knowledge. The tour was very entertaining and gave us a lot of fun. You could tell that the guide not only loves Cologne very much, but also lives the city. Dear Marcel: Bleev as de bist un maach wigga su;-)
It was a great tour. The guide gave us an authentic insight into the Cologne mentality. Between interesting historical facts about Cologne itself, the visits to the breweries with different Kölsch beers were a nice, refreshing change. My friend and I were delighted with our guide and the program. I can only recommend it.
