Itinerary
Your pick-up time will be defined by the booking, and your guide will be at the reception of your hotel to take you to Presidente Figueiredo. The trip takes 2 hours by car, and you will travel in a comfortable and big SUV jeep with internet, A/C, and a private driver.
The first stop on our adventure is the impressive Maroaga Cave, a sandstone formation hidden deep in the heart of the Amazon Jungle. To reach this remarkable site, you’ll follow a forest trail accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide who will share stories, explain the area’s natural features, and point out unique plants and wildlife along the way.Once at the cave entrance, you’re welcome to take photos and enjoy the serene atmosphere, but for safety reasons, we do not go too far inside. The walk itself is a true jungle experience, surrounded by towering trees, vibrant vegetation, and the sounds of the rainforest. Comfortable walking or tennis shoes are essential, as the trail can be uneven and slightly muddy depending on the season.
After exploring Maroaga Cave, we continue along the same forest trail until we reach another hidden gem of the Amazon. Here, a gentle waterfall flows between sandstone walls, forming a crystal‑clear natural pool where you can cool off, take a refreshing shower, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the jungle. This spot is a favorite among travelers for its beauty and tranquility, offering the perfect moment to relax before we begin our walk back toward the entrance. In total, the full itinerary—including Maroaga Cave and Judeia Cave—takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, filled with nature, adventure, and unforgettable scenery.
Our next stop is one of the most popular rapids in President Figueiredo, a lively area surrounded by nature and home to several local restaurants. Here, you’ll also find the city’s iconic monument—a striking statue of an Indigenous warrior standing proudly before the rushing waters, symbolizing the region’s deep cultural roots. This is where we pause for a well‑deserved lunch, included in the tour and served with delicious regional dishes prepared by local chefs. It’s the perfect moment to relax, enjoy authentic Amazonian flavors, and take in the beauty of the rapids before continuing your adventure.
After visiting the Urubui Rapids and enjoying a delicious regional lunch, we continue our journey with a short 20‑minute drive to the stunning Iracema Falls. This breathtaking spot features a powerful waterfall surrounded by lush forest and a refreshing natural swimming area—perfect for cooling off and soaking in the Amazon’s beauty. Here, you can take a dip in the clear waters, relax on the rocks, or explore the sandstone formations and small caves with the guidance of a local expert. It’s an ideal moment to connect with nature, take great photos, and enjoy one of President Figueiredo’s most iconic landscapes. Around 3:30 pm, we begin our return trip to Manaus, bringing with us the energy of the waterfalls and the unforgettable memories of the day. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit so you can fully enjoy this experience.
We arrive back in Manaus at approximately 5:30 pm, where each traveler is comfortably dropped off at their hotel. It’s the perfect moment to relax and reflect on the incredible landscapes, waterfalls, and jungle experiences that made this day truly unforgettable.

This was an incredible experience. We learned about medicinal plants, saw the beautiful caves and swam in the waterfalls. We took pictures of plants and trees we have never seen before and heard birds of all sorts. Lunch was delicious. Lots of trekking up and down. Recommend renting the galoshes; they are worth it. Love to t!
Mario is the greatest tour guide we have ever experienced. Despite the small language barrier, he guided us so strong that we could be survivalists. His English knowledge of the Amazon was super, and he introduced us to his tour guide friends like we were family. Never complained once when we accidentally ate his food he ordered. I hope Mario lives his best life and we will forever associate his kindness with the beauty of the Amazon.
Thank you for recommending the tour; it truly means a lot. I hope to welcome you back to Manaus someday for more unforgettable experiences. Rodolpho

A very interesting jungle walk 2 hours by car north of Manaus, with an excellent knowledgeable guide
Hi Gilad. Thanks a lot, what a great day we had together. Once again, thanks for visiting Manaus and choosing my services as your guide. Rudy
We were picked up on time and jeep was comfortable. We went during the week as the area is very busy on the week-ends. Coming from the deserts of southern California, the rain was terrific. The tour is for a private party of up to 4 people in the party. We were just two. Guide spoke English and knew about the area, plants, fish and animals. The jeep was comfortable and we brought towels from the hotel which we returned to the hotel. I slipped in the mud, but the mud mixed with the fallen leaves and water cushioned my fall. I got dirty but not hurt. At the end of the trail the office had gutters from which I was able to get cleaned up. I brought walking saddles and hiking boots. We had a good hike to and from the caves and a lovely lunch and then a short walk through to the waterfall and other caves. On the way out our guide heard the call of little black monkeys, no photos, little monkeys are fast and the forest is thick. We would not have known they were there. Overall great experience of the Amazon Rain Forest with Caves and waterfalls.

Very beautiful and impressive place. The trail is quiet but needs galocha that rent at the entrance. The Iracema Waterfall also impresses (we were in the full season). It's worth it
