Jerusalem Temple Mount & Dome of the Rock from Tel Aviv

Description
The tour starts with a view across Jerusalem from Mount of Olives. We descend the mount passing Jerusalem’s oldest Jewish cemetery dating back 3,000 years. We walk through the Kidron Valley where there are Jewish tombs dating back to the 1st century AD and enter the Old City via the Dung Gate. We continue to Temple Mount, a sacred site once home to the ancient Jewish Temple and today home to the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque. At times entrance to Temple Mount is limited by the authorities and under those circumstances we will visit the Tower of David instead. Next we visit the Davidson Center, an archaeological park adjacent to Temple Mount with excavated First and Second Temple Period structures. We tour the excavated site and see ancient remains from various historic periods. At the end of the tour you are returned to your hotel.

Beautiful place, deeply Arabic, excellent views and a clear notion of all the surrounding divergences. The buildings are beautiful.

The Jerusalem Temple Mount & Dome of the Rock Tour was excellent. Transportation from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and return was well organized. The guide, Dorit, was knowledgable and passionate, and it was a pleasure to listen to her. The visit of the Temple Mount was the highlight of my stay in Israel.
Having been to Israel many times before.... actually getting access to the Temple Mount this visit, guided by someone who knew the history and religious sensitivities, was a fantastic experience. Dorit's enthusiasm and energy was infectious.

My wife and I recently visited this area on a guided tour. Lots of history to learn! The Dome is the 3rd most sacred site of Islam (after Mecca and Medina). It is also the location of a former Jewish Temple. An absolute must when in Jerusalem.

A super fabulous tour guide! His very friendly personality coupled with his immense knowledge of the Holy Land made our tour such a pleasure. We had Yoav twice as our tour guide and both were very pleasant experiences. Ask for him if you're doing a tour of the Holy Land. He works for Bein Harim Tours. Definitely Five (5) Stars.
