We are recognized and supported by the Jerome Historical Society for our excellence and accurate information obtained through the JHS archives and one on one sessions with the archives manager. Come discover historical Jerome as we visit key landmarks and trace the blueprint of Jerome’s history from tent city to booming mine town. This is a Family friendly tour!
We will visit the famous sliding jail on this tour. In the 1930s, dynamite explosions from copper miners caused Jerome's small jail to slide off its foundation 225 feet into the middle of one of the town's main streets.
The Museum and Gift Shop were opened in the early 1950s. With displays depicting the timeline of Jerome’s past to its present, items such as old miners equipment to remains of gambling in saloons can be seen within the Museum.

My mum and I did this tour last Thursday with Courtney and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. It was only myself and my mum on this tour and there was no awkwardness there sometimes can be with a small group. Courtney really knew her stuff - you could tell she loved her job and telling people about the history of Jerome. She really knew her stuff and was very approachable answering any questions we had. Would 100% recommend!

Very informative. Jerome is built into the side of a mountain so it is very steep walking most of the time; but it is well worth the trip. Good restaurants and nice little shops.
The knowledgeable guide dove into the history of Jerome and fascinated me enough to want to purchase a book to learn more. Sometimes difficult to hear, however, if you were in the back of the group.
