Depart Amman for an hour-long drive to Jerash. Journey north in an air-conditioned vehicle, taking in the passing towns and desert landscapes. Upon arrival in Jerash, enter this archaeological treasure through its ancient city gate. Founded by Alexander the Great in the 2nd century AD and known as Gerasa, Jerash was one of the wealthiest provincial cities in the Roman Empire. As your guide (if hired) shares fascinating stories about the city in its prime, explore its arches, theaters, and magnificent colonnaded street. Capture photos of the intriguing Oval Plaza, an oval-shaped forum, and imagine the lives of those who once inhabited this place.

This is your grand entrance to the ancient city. A monumental, three-arched gateway built to commemorate the visit of Roman Emperor Hadrian in 129 CE.
This is the main colonnaded street that runs through the city. You can walk along its original paving stones, which still show the ruts worn by ancient chariot wheels.
After exploring Jerash, you'll begin your drive to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, over 400 meters below sea level. You'll access one of its resorts, like Holiday Inn or Crowne Plaza, where you can relax and enjoy the healing waters. Fresh towels will be provided. Soak up the sunshine and enjoy the scenic Judean and Jordanian mountains. Coat yourself with mineral-rich mud for skin rejuvenation, then float effortlessly in the highly salt-laden waters, famous for their buoyancy. My driver, Berdaghawi, was on time, drove safely and added little touches like stopping for coffee and mint tea. I had as much time as I wanted at each stop and never felt rushed. He showed me around at the Dead Sea. The car was comfortable and cold water and Internet provided. Berdagawi spoke good English and was super friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful day trip.out of Amman,.beginning at 8am. I chose to return at 5.30.

Today we went visited at the Dead Sea. The trip itself was great, our driver was extremely nice, helpful and friendly. the environment where we were was great, the experience of floating on top of the water was phenomenal along with the mud wrap. if we are here again we would like Baden as our driver! we recommend him to everyone! 🙂

Outstanding Day Trip! We had an unforgettable trip from Amman to Jerash and the Dead Sea with our amazing driver Shadi. He was very professional and well-organized — he reached out to us a day before to confirm everything and made sure the car was ready and spotless. The vehicle was large, comfortable, and equipped with cold water, snacks, and Wi-Fi, which made the journey very pleasant. He contacted us the day before to confirm all the details and arrived on time with a very clean, spacious, and comfortable car. He even provided us with cold water, snacks, and free Wi-Fi throughout the day. We had plenty of time to explore Jerash and then relax and swim at a 5-star hotel at the Dead Sea, staying until sunset. The whole experience was smooth, relaxing, and enjoyable from start to finish. The car was clean and didnt smell of smoke and was very comfortable. The driver ( forgot his name) was funny and friendly and very knowledgeable. You wont have any issues, price was reasonable. Enough time for everything.

Great driver and company. Bardaghawi was our driver, and he was punctual, helpful, and knowledgeable about everything. You will love this day trip, we did. He had plenty of cold water for us. The car was comfy and clean, and he was a good, safe driver.

Our driver was Mahmuod Awad and we can easily recommend his services. He arrived early, was easy to talk to and cared about our experience. The vehicle was air conditioned, spacuous and comfortable. We learned alot about the area on our way to Jerash. At the ruins he connected us with our excellent local guide and waited for us until we returned. Our favorite spots were the Roman theatre, the Temple of Artemis and the Nymphaeum Fountain. The Jerash ruins are a highly recommended side trip from Amman.

Excellent organisation with contact a couple days before our reservation. Shadi, our driver, was exceptionally knowledgable and an excellent driver. The site itself is impressive and we spent approximately two hours there.
