On this full-day excursion from Agra, visit the Sarus Crane Conservation Reserve at the National Chambal Sanctuary. The sanctuary is a wetland area, interspersed with cultivated fields, where large numbers of the Sarus Cranes breed. Several species of wetland birds and Raptors are also found in this sanctuary. Besides Cranes, the sanctuary is home to several other endangered species like Mugger Crocodiles, Smooth Coated Otters, Striped Hyenas and around 26 rare Turtle species.

Itinerary
National Chambal Sanctuary (2 hours) You will be picked up in the morning from your hotel for the drive to the National Chambal Sanctuary which is at a distance of 95 miles from Agra. The drive to the sanctuary takes around 3 hours. Enjoy the drive through the countryside as you go past villages and fields. Spread over 2 000 square miles, the sanctuary is home to several endangered species like the Gharial, Red Crown Roofed Turtle and River Dolphin. The River Chambal cuts through the sanctuary. Spend the afternoon in spotting Sarus Cranes and other wetland birds. Once your tour will be finished you will be driven back to fixed point / your hotel.
