Mohammed's got great energy and is a terrific storyteller. He'll customize the tour to the speed and mobility needs of his guests.
Mohammed was a very knowledgeable and social guide. Throughout the tour he was able to balance conversation and teaching of the Islamic Culture and Jeddah’s history. As a solo female traveler I felt very comfortable the entire time and I felt like I left the tour with a new friend. Highly recommend!
Thank you so much Ashely...it was my pleasure to have you as friend, hop to see you again in Saudi Arabia.
Great tour, recommended. Bring comfortable shoes. Our guide Mohammed was great, with lots of information and cool stories of Old Jeddah. Is a must if you visit this great city. Love visiting Saudi and meeting tons of very good people. Search for boricuaslivingabroad blog and you will find more info on Jeddah
From the get go, I was surprised by a very well structured and informationally driven Mohammed's is going to be - in a good way. The tour started as soon as we got into the car in front of my hotel. Before we reached the old town, I already knew a general cultural background of the Arabian peninsula and how the geography and religion take part in creating it's culture. I felt like Mohammed knew everything and could answer all my questions when I had any. Tour itself is also not like a lecture, there'll be a few questions to the tourist to keep the attention in check. However, I feel like the guide is quite flexible with his approach and can adjust it to whatever would suit the tourists (I was perfectly fine with it as-is). Overall, I highly recommend it and will definitely be recommending it to any of my friends or family if they ever come and visit. My only "problem" is that I wish the old town was bigger so that the tour could be longer, cause it was this interesting.
Thank you so much, it was my pleasure.
I had my day off and booked this excursion to see the city. However it was canceled and I couldn’t boo with any other website because it was too late. So I lost the whole day doing nothing and my day was ruined. If you want to cancel excursions (due to the number that was not met) do not offer such services and ruin people’s day!
Hello there sorry about your miss understanding, if you read carefully the cancellation policy you find this, This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund
The sea stones and wooden window frames matched perfectly, creating a unique landscape and retro atmosphere worthy of a World Heritage Site. This tour really gave us a glimpse into the passage of hundreds of years. I'm grateful to the guide for his attentive service to even one person. It's a place I'd like to return to.
Thank you so much, it was my pleasure
Great tour, we did a lot in the four hours, I would recommend Gary if you want to know about the history of Old Town Jeddah. Gary was informative and able to explain about different things about the Old Town.
thank you for your nice and wonderful comment and recommendation. I am very happy that I was your tour guide in my beloved city Jeddah.
Mr. Mohammed, my tour guide is a local of the old town and is hence extremely knowledgeable of the history and development of AL-Bald. He speak very good English and his vivid account of life in the old town past and present really painted a very colourful picture of Jeddah’s rich heritage. The weather was blissful and wasn’t too hot as we started in the late afternoon. By the time the tour ended it was getting dark and the atmosphere with all the illumination and light from houses and shops was absolutely charming. I travelled solo and was initially a bit worried. But my guide made me feel as though I was travelling with a friend or relative. I felt at ease and safe, and very much want to as I write now to reciprocate his hospitality one day should Mr. Mohammed visits Japan.
