Japanese Calligraphy Experience in Osaka
Description
Enjoy the calligraphy experience of traditional Japanese culture. With 27 years of experience as a calligraphy instructor, I will provide you with easy-to-understand and detailed instruction. We will talk about Japanese letters, explain how to use calligraphy tools, and teach you the basics of how to use a brush. Then, students choose one of the 16 kanji that are popular overseas, practice it, and write it on a Japanese board. Sign your name, place it in a special art frame, and your original work of art is complete. You can take it home, so please display it at home. At the end, enjoy green tea and Japanese sweets, and take a commemorative photo. It will be a wonderful memory for you. The event will be held on the first floor of a hotel in Shinsaibashi, the center of Osaka. It's very convenient, just 1 minute walk from the subway station.

Ryusho is so talented and such an amazing teacher! I booked this class for my husband and I to do while in Osaka because when I was in elementary school, my school brought in a Japanese calligraphy artist to teach in my art class :) My husband said this was his favorite activity of all that we did while on our 2.5 week honeymoon across Japan!! Our instructor was so pleasant and patient. It is a difficult art form but he made it fun and was genuinely excited for our work. Great family fun that was different than the normal experiences around here.

I had a wonderful time trying calligraphy with a very passionate and knowledgable teacher ! I could practice many times the kanji on Japanese paper before making my final work. The teacher was really helpful and his English is really good ! I would totally recommend this workshop !
