Monas (National Monument) is the icon and land mark of Jakarta. it heigh 132 meters with 50 kgs of gold at the top. This monument also was built as the spirit of Indonesian people to struggle for the independence. Located at Merdeka Square (independence square ) and its surrounding by government buildings, president palace, Istiqlal mosque, train station, and city hall of Jakarta.
Istiqlal Mosque was the biggest mosque in south east Asia. This is the grand mosque of Indonesia that was built by the first president of Indonesia (Sokearno) and finish at 1978 during 2nd president of Indonesia (Soeharto). This mosque also representative Indonesia as the biggest Muslim population country in the world. In this mosque you will not go inside mosque for tour. we will just stop for pictures only from the front side.
This is reminder of Batavia. enjoying the jakarta old town called Kota tua, the city with Dutch building and dutch history. In this place, we will walking along the canal, enjoy the square (stadhuis) as the old city hall of Jakarta. enjoy drink at cafe batavia.
This church located in front of the biggest mosque (Istiqlal). was built during colonial time with art deco style and European architecture. This church and also the Mosque of Istiqlal was the symbolize also of unity of diversity in Indonesia. We will stop here just for picture only.

Great way to see Jakarta in a few hours!! Our guide had great English and driver managed to get around busy traffic with ease!!!
i had wonderful evening for this tour. the guide took me to see another side of jakarta, not only tourism place. the tour was started in the afternoon time when its still bright so i visited the national monument, merdeka square, istiqlal mosque, katedral church and also the guide took me to see beverly hills of jakarta close to the down town. during the afternoon time also we visited china town jakarta and i love it alot. the food market at petak enam was excellent. so glad to explore china town of jakarta and saw alot of things here. when its starting dark, the guide took me to see the old town of jakarta. it was quiet during ramadhan at old town jakarta. the guide also took me to tried the local indonesian drinks cafe and i tried jamu. it was perfect. one of the best part was the modern fish market. this is wonderful fish market when we can enjoy sea food at jakarta with cheap price. i chose and bought fish at the market and bring to food court at 2nd floor for asking food stall for cook for us and i just paid the service for cook. each kg of fish they charge usd 2 for cooking service. the last part of this tour was culinary area at mangga besar. i had walking tour there and tried some snacks and local food. there is also extreme food such as cobra satay. on mangga besar culinary night also alot of stalls of durian fruits. this is perfection tour combine bright time to see tourism place of jakarta and dark time to see real night life of local people in jakarta. i recommended this tour. the guide and driver also take care of me very well so i really enjoy this tour.
