Itinerary
This guided tour takes you across the archipelago without leaving the city. Explore traditional houses from different provinces, each representing unique architecture, customs, and ways of life. From Java and Bali to Sumatra and Papua, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of Indonesia’s identity as a nation of diversity. Our tour guide will bring each region to life through engaging storytelling and sharing insights into local traditions, philosophy, and daily life that most visitors miss.
Designed in traditional Balinese architectural style, this museum offers a deeper understanding of Indonesia’s identity through art, tradition, and philosophy. Across its three floors, you’ll explore the themes of diversity, humanity, and Indonesian civilization—bringing together artifacts, traditional costumes, ceremonial objects, and cultural expressions from across the archipelago.
Batik is more than just a textile, it is a language of symbols, stories, and identity. Recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage, each batik pattern carries deep meaning, from social status and regional identity to life philosophy.
Monas represents more than independence; it symbolizes unity across diversity, a nation built from thousands of islands, cultures, languages, and traditions. As you explore the monument, your guide will connect its meaning to everyday Indonesian life and to how values like gotong royong (community cooperation) and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity) shape the country.
Experience one of the most powerful symbols of Indonesia’s identity at Istiqlal Mosque, the largest mosque in Southeast Asia. More than a place of worship, Istiqlal represents Indonesia’s foundation as a nation built on faith, tolerance, and unity in diversity. During your visit, your guide will explain not only the architecture and scale of the mosque but also the role of Islam in Indonesian daily life, shaped by local culture, tradition, and moderation.
Built during the colonial era, the cathedral stands as a symbol of Indonesia’s multicultural identity, where different beliefs coexist in harmony. What makes this experience truly unique is its location, directly across from the Istiqlal Mosque, the largest mosque in Southeast Asia. Together, these two places of worship represent Indonesia’s commitment to tolerance and unity.
This iconic antique street market is a treasure trove of vintage collectibles, ranging from colonial-era décor and traditional handicrafts to old cameras, vinyl records, sculptures, and rare curiosities. It’s a place where history, nostalgia, and craftsmanship come together. Prices here aren’t fixed, so you’ll be able to haggle for the best bargains.

We had a blast seeing Jakarta with Isabella. She was a fabulous and knowledgeable guide - she made suggestions of small itinerary changes that allowed us to see even more parts of the city. We knew we were in good hands. The air conditioned car and front door drop offs were a great touch that made everything stress free. I can’t imagine seeing the city any other way! Thanks!

This Park is huge and fantastic. However time allotted in quite less. I think this excursion should have atleast 5-6 hours and need not be clubbed with Monas or national museum. Even though there is excellent bus service inside, it's quite tiring and need a little slow pace. If one has to see all the houses and click pics, one needs a minimum of 5 - 6 hours. There is plenty to do and see.

I wish we’d had more time to explore all of the homes and museums. One favourite was the fresh water aquarium to see the large tropical fish. Once inside, open buses provide transportation within this very large site. We walked along wide sidewalks as the transportation was sometimes full when it reached our stop.

Mitchell was a wonderful and helpful tour guide. He was so accommodating to make sure we got the experience we wanted in Jakarta. We had a lovely day exploring his city. Our driver, Andre, was professional and navigated the streets well. Enjoyed our traditional lunch. Highly recommend Mitchell as he was engaging and sociable. Great tour.
The guide was fantastic! She was extremely knowledgeable! She spoke amazing English. She was attentive to our needs. The lunch was magnificent! Catherine was an absolute gem!
This place is getting better over the years, but there are several things can be improved : * Better general information on how to access this place when using different kind of vehicle. * There are a lot of (i can say) 'un-registered' seller around the area who sell item at steep price. * A lot of "guide" who act as if he was the employee of the place and offer their service to take visitor around, taking picture and ask us to buy their pictures. * Shuttle driver is not helpful. They are not trying to help exhausted visitor, we feel they avoiding customer and more focus on his own route. Suggestion : * If you can not walk more than 5 km a day, better to hire battery bike or scooter.
