Itinerary
Begin with pick-up at 8.30 am from your desired place in Jaipur and visit this splendid modern marble edifice that lies at the foot of Moti Dungri fort - Birla Lakshmi Narayan Temple. The wealthy industrialist Birla family, from Pilani, Rajasthan, bought the land on which the temple now stands from the maharaja for a token sum of one rupee. Built with white marble it is also known as the Laxmi Narayan temple and is the sanctum sanctorum of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi.
The beautiful 16th-century yellow-colored stepwell lies in the shadow of a famous fortress Amber Fort. A pretty baori (step-well) with geometrical designs and sharp shadows that has been restored. This setpwell was built so the people of Amer could collect water, which was later used at many temples nearby. Women also came here to fill their water pots for household work. Apart from this, Panna Meena ka Kund was a resting place for many travelers—business people and saints alike—as the temperature inside the stepwell is significantly cooler.
Photo Stop at Jal Mahal (Water Palace) - Near the cenotaphs of the maharanis of Jaipur and beautifully situated in the watery expanse of Man Sagar, is this dreamlike palace.
Photo Stop at Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) - Jaipur’s most distinctive landmark is an extraordinary pink-painted delicately honeycombed hive that rises a dizzying five storeys. It was constructed in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh to enable ladies of the royal household to watch the life and processions of the city. Later enjoy your lunch at a Local air-conditioned Restaurant.
The City Palace is the residence of the royal family. A complex of courtyards, gardens, and buildings. There are palace buildings from different eras, some dating from the early 20th century. It is a striking blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture.
Jantar Mantar Observatory (a Unesco World Heritage Site) - is a collection of curving geometric buildings that are carefully calibrated to monitor the movement of the stars and planets.
Monkey Temple is famous for its rather complex structure. It has three sacred pools of water and is surrounded by two granite cliffs. You will find hundreds of monkeys living here – bold and aggressive macaques and more graceful and tolerable langurs.
Built-in 1734 by the Hindu Rajput ruler, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. He was the founder of Jaipur and chose to build the fort up in the Aravalli Hills to use as a retreat place and a home for his 9 wives. Each wife had a similar section of the fort. Nahargarh Fort, along with Amber Fort and Jaigarh Fort, once formed a strong defense for the city of Jaipur. After exploring the fort, what could be a more glorious way to end your day than watching an amazing sunset at Nahargarh Fort, the sky dipped in breathtaking colors. See the Panoramic shot of the pink city captured amidst the backdrop of a beautiful sunset sky. After a memorable day, your tour ends with a return to your hotel or other desired location in Jaipur.

We did this tour with Ashok as our guide and Hemanth as our driver. It was excellent, while we did have an itinerary, Ashok was accommodating in asking us if there were any other specific monuments we would like to do. His knowledge was incredible and his photo taking skills gave us some memorable photos. I would recommend this tour because it feels intimate and we learned a lot! Our driver was also an excellent resource. He was always there when we needed him and kept our belongings safe in his car as well! And thank you Shakul for being an excellent operator in being communicative with us every step of the way!

Ashok and Hemanth gave us the best tour of Jaipur. They were accommodating, flexible, and knowledgeable about multiple point in and around Jaipur. Though the heat was scorching, Ashok made sure to find us shade to chat about various monuments. I would book them again and refer them to anyone visiting the city. Big plus if you’re into photography as Ashok is a master behind the lens.

Had a great time on this tour with my guide Ashok. I particularly enjoyed City Palace where I learned a lot about the history and the Amber Fort which had great views and lots of photo opportunities. I also was able to see some block printing being done and carpet making. Definitely a full day of sightseeing but a whole lot of fun!

I had the pleasure of spending the day with Ashok (guide) and Vipin (driver) for this tour. Both men were incredibly friendly which made this tour really wonderful, especially as a solo traveler. Leading up to the tour, I received very clear information in advance regarding the details. During the tour, I feel like we covered so much and Ashok had an incredible amount of knowledge. It is a long day, but very worth it. I have plenty of amazing pictures to remember the experience, and I would recommend this tour to friends. A very special thank you to Ashok and Vipin for a wonderful day exploring Jaipur.
