Description

Pedal through the peaceful streets of Büyükada, the largest and greenest of the Princes’ Islands, on a scenic cycling tour made for all levels. Cruise effortlessly along the island’s car-free lanes with simple gears, surrounded by pine trees, sea views, and old mansions. The gentle hills and flat stretches make it perfect for both casual riders and curious explorers. Along the way, we’ll stop for Turkish tea, coffee, and local snacks under the shade of trees. You’ll discover landmarks like the Aya Yorgi Church & Monastery perched on a hilltop with panoramic views, the elegant Hamidiye Mosque, and the iconic wooden mansions that give Büyükada its charm. We’ll also pass by the former Greek Orphanage, one of the largest wooden buildings in Europe, and pause at peaceful viewpoints that overlook the Sea of Marmara and nearby islands. My guided tour with Mustafa was great! He was a phenomenal guide—so much fun to bike with and incredibly engaging. The experience was deeply informative with great sites on the island. I learned fascinating insights into Turkish history while taking in the breathtaking scenic views. A perfect 10/10 experience!"

Biking in paradise

Ikbal was a wonderful tour guide. The trip to the island on the ferry takes over an hour, and he explained many sites to us as we passed them. We had been in Istanbul for 6 days already, but he gave us even more information. The bike part of the trip was only one hour, but there were a few hills! A really fun way to spend time in this busy city.
