Gedikpasa Hamami offers a unique Turkish bath experience, steeped in 550 years of history which was built to a 2350 square-metre zone at old city part of Istanbul by the command of Gedik Ahmet Pasha in 1457 , having a breathtaking 16-meter-high cieling . Located just across from the iconic Grand Bazaar, this historic bath is not just a place for cleansing but a journey into the heart of Turkish tradition , get you served in seperate sections as men and woman , with same-gender therapists' services , variety of massages and selection of Privacy. Upon entering the hamam, you’re greeted by the warmth of marble floors and the soft echo of water. The ritual begins with a relaxing steam bath, preparing your skin for the full exfoliation that follows. A skilled attendant uses a traditional kese (scrubbing mitt) to remove dead skin, leaving you refreshed and revitalized. A cultural experience that is indulgent, relaxing and too good to miss out on. The building is stunning. The beauty therapist gracious and beautiful. The marble sauna is unique and fresh unlike our sauna back home. Laying in the marble bed takes you into another world. The body scrub and soap massage is the most indulgent experience you will have. So much more than expected. I will be telling everyone I know to stop in Instanbul on route to other destinations just to experience this bath house. So Central in Old Istanbul. Clean and welcoming. Don't forget to tip, they deserve it.

I had no idea what to expect, except for the massage part. My therapist Turkan was lovely, guided me through all the steps of the experience, was very friendly and experienced. I loved everything - from the heated floors on which you lay, to the washing and scrubbing (I felt like a vulnerable baby, in the best way), to the oil massage and little rest & treats afterwards! If you've never experienced hamam baths & massage - DO IT!! It's like nothing else out there, you'll feel CLEAN and relaxed like never before. Also it's an old historical building and it's beautiful, the chandeliers are gorgeous, there's a little fountain and it's very clean. The receptionists are lovely and friendly too! Honestly couldn't be happier with my experience! 🙏🏼

Authentic Turkish Bath experience in a historical ancient hammam with a very nice staff. My attendant (Omar) was kind, generous with the time & techniques (body scrub, foam bath, massage). Also, he spoke English & was personable. My wife's experience was less personable and was somewhat rushed...finished 20 minutes before me. Also, there is no music on the women's side. She also was uncomfortable on the marble slabs. But everyone's experience can vary based on age and various medical issues. Overall, a noteworthy special event for the body & soul.

We walked in off the street, though I am sure they’d appreciate a reservation. Anyway, beautiful place, very clean, amazing experience. Would highly recommend if you’re in Istanbul.

Friends recommended this specific locale and I'm glad I did it. Was slightly more expensive than some other places but once I was inside, I could easily understand why. The bath dates back to the 1400s. It's beautiful and felt calm and healing. I only selected the basic option, but they treated me like the mother of dragons on her wedding eve! Plus, little treats at the end. Ayson was my therapist. 11 stars out of 10!
