Meet your guide at our conveniently located meeting point on the Karaköy side of the Galata Bridge. This bridge spans the Golden Horn, connecting the old city with Beyoglu, the modern district of Istanbul.
Experience the essential flavors of Turkey on this culinary journey across İstiklal Street. We begin with traditional Turkish tea, served in its iconic tulip-shaped glass—strong, aromatic, and a warm symbol of Turkish hospitality. Along the way, we taste a variety of beloved street foods and local specialties. Enjoy Gözleme, a hand-rolled stuffed flatbread cooked to perfection, followed by Çiğ Köfte, a spicy bulgur-based delicacy packed with bold flavors. We continue with classics like Mantı, tiny dumplings topped with garlic yogurt and spices, and Tantuni, a deliciously seasoned meat wrap from southern Turkey. Of course, no visit is complete without trying a Dürüm Kebab, filled with tender döner meat wrapped in soft lavash. For a sweet finish, indulge in Baklava, famous for its crisp layers of filo, rich nuts, and fragrant syrup.
To round out the experience, you’ll also sample a local alcoholic drink, enjoyed just as locals would. A perfect blend of culture, tradition, and unforgettable tastes—this tour brings together the true spirit of Turkish cuisine.

Erol was a fantastic guide, full of interesting facts and very intentional with the places he picked to stop by and order from. The tour was fun and we definitely left very full. Would highly recommend!
We really enjoyed Erol's tour! 3.5 hours is a short amount of time to pack in the amount of different foods & cultural variety that we got to taste! We also got to walk along Istiklal Caddesi, and all our stops were located in a relatively small convenient radius. Erol was a great guide and very knowledgeable about Turkish culture & different cooking processes; he answered all of our questions flawlessly! We got to try kumpir, manti, tantuni, çiğ köfte, midye dolma, döner durum, gozleme, tulumba, & baklava -- make sure to come hungry!!
We had a very nice afternoon with our guide Erol. He guided us to typical Turkish food spots where we got tasty meals. He took our preferences into account and was very helpful. Thanks to him, we got to know and understand Turkey better.
Great experience with Tolga who was very knowledgeable about the history of the city and country. Food was good as well.
Would highly recommend this food tour that allows you to see the local side of the city. Our guide was Kimet, and she showed us some great hidden gems and delicious food. Come hungry!
Though the rain was unexpected, our guide, Gamze, improvised and added to our experience by showing us even more beautiful indoor stores to wait out some of the rain. The food was so delicious, hot and fresh, the store owners were delightful, and Gazme took the opportunity to show us how to locals live. 10/10
One of the BEST food tours we have ever taken thanks to our guide Gamze. Her passion for food and Türkiye is wonderful as she recounted stories of cooking with her mother and grandmother, passed on recipe ideas and gave valuable insight into some of Türkiye's amazing produce. We even got to try food that wasn't part of the tour just because we were interested. Small group tours are the best. Thanks again Gamze!
We toured with Gamze and she was more than just a tour guide, but also provided an amazing cultural experience that gave us so much insight into Turkish traditions, celebrations, and daily life. We could never have experienced the sights and scenes on our own and the secret passages are everything! Highly recommend! Worth the price and within the 3-hour walking tour you will feel the vibe and energy from the streets and city.
I don't normally have the chance to do reviews, but I felt compelled to do one after this great tour we did last night. Gamze was a truly excellent host and really gave us a taste of Istanbul. We ate and drank in places we would never have found on our own, but Gamze was the true star of the tour. Thanky you for a fantastic tour.
This was amazing tour from all the different foods and drinks the traditional way. Thanks Erol was fantastic. From the family of 7
