We love local guides! Easy company to work with!

We loved our Istanbul experience. Our local guide (Murat) was a fabulous and knowledgeable guide. He always knew just where to stand amidst crowds—made it feel like we were the only ones there getting a tour bespoke to our interests. He also really knew the city and made it feel lived in and loved. It was also super easy to work with the company for a few specific tour requests we had—good communications.

It's a wonderful experience. We were a v small group so had no trouble listening to our guide who had a lovely tone to his voice. Both mosques are stunning. A great deal of information came from our guide so we immersed ourselves in history culture and tradition.

Excellent tour. Just right amount of walking and talking.

Our guide was so great. He loves the city. He shared many stories and information we would not have learned without a small group tour. Audio great. Humour perfect. No extra costs. Wish I’d caught the hidden gold in the Hagia Sophia !

10/10 recommend

Our guide Umut was so knowledgeable about the city, its history, how it was influenced, the blue mosque and the Hagia Sophia. 10/10 recommend. We paid €73per person for 2.5hrs and thoroughly enjoyed it. Bring water and a head scarf to enter the buildings.

Very Disappointing Experience Despite Paying Full Price

I was unfortunately 15 minutes late due to heavy traffic and difficulty finding the meeting point. I contacted the tour guide asking for the exact location so I could meet the group, however I was told quite bluntly that the guide had only waited 10 minutes and that I was no longer able to join the tour. This was extremely disappointing, especially considering the amount paid for the tour, including the entry tickets. A little more understanding or assistance in helping me locate the group would have been appreciated rather than essentially being told “too late.” Overall, the experience and customer service were very disappointing.

Operator response

All of our tours operate on strict scheduled start times due to pre-reserved timed-entry tickets and site regulations. Customers are clearly asked to arrive at the meeting point at least 10 minutes before the tour start time. In your case, you arrived approximately 25 minutes late. Our guide waited an additional 10 minutes beyond the official departure time, which already risked the admission of the rest of the group holding pre-reserved timed-entry tickets. Once a tour has started, it is not possible for the guide to delay the group further or leave the group to locate late-arriving guests, as this impacts every other participant and may result in missed entry windows. This policy is communicated very clearly throughout the booking process, including before booking, in the booking confirmation, on the voucher, and in the meeting point instructions. You were aware you could not be late. Arriving on time for a scheduled group tour remains each guest's responsibility.

Excellent Tour - wonderful guide!

We loved this tour and learned so much. Our guide, Mert made everything interesting and his English was outstanding. My husband doesn’t like “tours”, but he really enjoyed this one.
