We will visit an extraordinary palace, Palazzo Borromeo, opulent and impressive, that will surprise you with its beautiful collections and stunning views through the windows. We will then spend some more time spent in the lovely Italianate gardens on isola Bella before heading back to Stresa.

Great tour of the islands! Very knowledgeable of the history of the island and all the plants in the botanical gardens. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a private tour guide.

Fantastic experience, I recommend spending a lot of time on the beautiful island and its villa, and then see the mother island just as beautiful but less than beautiful... the fishermen's island is nice but there is nothing special to see site very similar to other places near the various lakes, but do a jump here too

Private tour to the Borromean Islands with the enterprising Macaela. We are a family of two adults and two boys aged 9 and 13 and we decided to rely on Micaela for the tour to the Islands, I must say that I was amazed by so much professionalism and friendliness. She managed to involve my children in all the explanations and they were enthusiastic and fascinated by the way they told and explained all the events of the Borromeo family and the beauties of the gardens. I definitely recommend a tour with Micaela, which will add value to your visit!!!!

We had an absolutely wonderful time touring the Borromean Islands and experiencing the beauty of Lake Maggiore. I would heartily recommend this experience to anyone looking to see lake Maggiore, and experience its history and culture first-hand. It will be a highlight of your trip! My girlfriend and I met Micaela in the lobby of our hotel and were whisked away to a private dock to begin our tour. Micaela made everything easy for us and all we had to do was follow along, listen and soak up the beauty around us. Our first stop was the Fisherman's Island, where we saw the quaint town, heard about the islands history and had a delicious lunch on the water. From there we went to the majestic Isola Bella, which boasts an incredible palace and surreally stunning gardens. Micaela knows almost every plant on the island and the history of all the facets of the buildings--we came away blown away by the detail of the place. Our last stop was the more relaxed, but gorgeous Isola Madre, with its renaissance villa and english style gardens. We relaxed and soaked up the cool air and rich smell of blooming flowers. We were dropped back off at the private dock and returned to the hotel, fully please after a wonderful day!
