Island Hopping with Beach BBQ
Description
This cruise takes you to enjoy the beautiful scenery and the best swimming sites of the neighbouring islands of Lefkada! You´ll be able to take a look inside the famous cave of Papanikolis, where we also take time for our morning swim. At our village stop you have time to walk around the pretty, narrow streets and admire the view. Or if you prefer another swim, there are also beaches nearby. The highlight of the day is the beach stop - plenty of time for sunbathing and swimming in the crystal clear waters, as the crew prepares your delicious BBQ lunch, freshly on the spot! Umbrellas will be provided to give you a much needed shade from the hot Greek sun. On our way back home, we stop for one more swim on the famous "Onassis island". Fresh seasonal fruit and a local appetizer drink will be also served during the cruise. This is definitely THE TRIP for the whole family! Short distances from place to place ensure, that the smallest passengers enjoy it too!

Itinerary
Our first stop is at the Cave of Papanikolis, the second largest sea cave in Greece. You will have the opportunity to cruise all the way inside the cave and enjoy an unforgettable morning swim here.
Our second stop is on the island of Meganisi, at the village of Spartochori. Step back in time and see how the locals have preserved their old way of living. Explore the old, narrow streets and discover the charming little backyard gardens. The village is located up on a hill, so you can admire the wonderful views of the surrounding area as well. And if you get tired of walking, you can always relax on one of the local charming beaches.
Our longest stop will be at our beautiful Gerakas Beach on the Greek mainland (close to the Varko, which is marked here on the map). Enjoy plenty of free time to sunbathe and swim in crystal clear waters on this secluded beach. You can also practice your jumping skills from the boat at the shore stops! On this stop, you will enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch served directly on the beach.
Our last stop for one more swim is at the famous "Onassis Island". Hear a bit of history about the rich and famous people who have lived on the island while we cruise around, and enjoy your afternoon swim in one of the beaches.
On our way back we will cruise pass the Madouri and the Prince´s islands.

Absolutely amazing day. Highly recommend this trip. The whole day was spectacular. We were spoiled rotten all day. From the cheese and olives, ouzo, delicious, plentiful lunch to the refreshing watermelon, we were looked after beautifully. The staff were sensational, so friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, generous and caring. We had a wonderful, wonderful day making memories forever! Huge thank you to the Ionian Star cruise crew!
Brilliant day all the crew were so friendly and helpful especially the wife of the boat owner ( Finnish lady sorry I’ve forgotten your name!) who was lovely . The commentary from the captain was excellent and informative all the stops were good and the bbq on the beach was delicious and plenty of food and drink for everyone.
A wonderful boat trip .. well managed by the most caring attentive crew, mostly family! They could not have done more for us and I commend them for their hard work, commitment, fantastic BBQ, hospitality and dedication! Definitely, the best boat trip in Lefkada!
Amazing experience and for us the most suitable for a family with 2 kids due to the fact that they stop on the beach, so the kids can swim safely. The beach is full of very beautiful fish and we swam with them. The entire itinerary is built to be a great experience, exactly how it’s supposed to be, not too much, not too little. The 4 stops are amazing and the crew is very nice. The food is also very good. Overall, great experience for us, both the adults and the kids. I strongly recommend it as a must see on the holiday list. One last mention, the captain guides all the trip with the historical info for each place we go by.
This cruise was everything we hoped for. The destinations were stunning, and each stop offered something memorable. The BBQ on a beautiful beach was a highlight of the trip. The crew made us feel very welcome, and the boat itself was the perfect size, comfortable and not too crowded. The boat trip is excellent. Much attention to detail on all fronts. Very comfortable boat with shade and sun areas. Plenty of room for all.The toilets are spotless! The tour of the islands is great with good commentary about each island. The beach stop is heavenly! Beach umbrellas supplied. The barbecue was excellent with plenty to eat and drink.
