We had such a great experience with Neal as our guide. This tour was 100000% worth the value. I don’t know why this had such low stars, it was great if you ask me! We got to see so much, learned a lot about the highlands and the tour was great with timing. I didn’t have high hopes based on what I read but it completely surpassed what I was expecting! Great value for what we did, where we went and what we saw! The cruise offered the same thing for double and triple the price. We brought our 2 kids and they did alright. Favorite part was the castle and the highland cows.
Hi Samira Many thanks. I will certainly pass your comments to Neil the guide. feedback is always appreciated!
Friendly guide, interesting and diverse visit. The only downside is that it is mentioned that the excursion is accessible for people in wheelchairs if the wheelchair is foldable. The problem is that the sites visited are not really accessible for wheelchairs. The person in a wheelchair from our group was absent, and it was fortunate because they would not have been able to visit the distillery and the castle.
Beautiful trip along the coast. Some intriguing and incredible sights were seen. The visit to the rocks was very interesting.
Our tour guide didn’t have much to say throughout the day. He should have given us a lot more information about the local people and culture but instead told us to just enjoy the scenery. The highlight of the trip was going to Loch Ness to try to spot Nessie. We didn’t spot the monster but we did just drive by all the Loch Ness souvenir shops. A ten minute stop at the shops would have been appreciated, instead we stopped for ten minutes to look at a couple of highlight cows that could care less we were there. The singleton distillery was informative and took about a hour. The last stop was a castle which was a waste of time.
When we arrived at the dock early, no one was there from Your Shore Time, the local tour service. We waited for over an hour in the cold and no one showed up. We went to a different tour company and were told as of that morning Your Shore Time had canceled our tour and booked with them, which was a different tour than what we paid for, WHICH DID NOT INCLUDE THE DISTILLERY WHICH WAS THE REASOB WE SELECTED THIS TOUR. The tour was not good and took us to two small towns and dropped us off when there was nothing open in the morning drop off and nothing to do. All in all a VERY BAD experience. The tour guide was rude and not very helpful.
Beautiful tour Unfortunately, the process was changed at short notice without notice, so cawdor Castle was not approached. Castles best booked on site
We were left stranded because all other excursions were booked. Cancelled just hours before with little options.
Good Afternoon Bill, We had emailed you adn messaged you previously, but you did not pick up your messages The cancellation was due to the guides illness, and Invergordon being such a small community we were unable to secure an alternative guide. We are very sorry for the cancellation., and as we said in our messages at the time. there were other seats available with another operator
When I bought the tour, I bought it because we were going to Inverness. The tour didn't arrive; the guide had a different itinerary than the one I had. I feel really bad for not following the itinerary they sell.
Overall, good value for money but ... Firstly, Ian & Emma were great. The coach however was not. The speakers for the first four rows were not working, so any commentary could not be heard. The lack of information detracted greatly from the overall experience. Also, we were in a seat that faced backwards over a table, so even if we were able to hear any commentary, we wuld not be able to see what was being spoken about until it was too late! And as for the table itself, a great idea but it vibrated horribly and things were sliding off as a result everywhere!! Would have rated higher if we had had a forward facing seat and, more importantly, been able to hear the/any commentary. An appropriate refund for this would be welcomed as service not provided as advertised.
Hi David If you could email me directly at office@yourshoretime.com and I will investigate. Our official guide was indisposed on teh day due to a family bereavement and Glen and Emma provided a service at the very last minute rather than us cancel the tour
The tour was good overall. The only drawback, in my opinion, was the time spent exploring the whisky factory.
Hi Albert, Many thanks for your observations. The Distillery visit is included within our tour description. It is a small ,but informative part of our full day shore excursion.
