Trip said to leave at 830 but most don’t get off the ship in time. So you don’t leave until closer to 10. Distillery tour is good, leaving late made lunch late. We arrived a Loch Ness to get on the boat to go to the castle. When we arrived at the castle we only had ~20 minutes to see the castle before we had to get back to the bus. This didn’t leave much time to see anything. Melanie was a great host, but leaving late with the amount of driving set the tour up to fail.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very sorry that the day did not run as smoothly as we would have liked, and we completely understand your disappointment with the reduced time at Urquhart Castle. Unfortunately, on the day of your tour there were delays with the immigration process at the port, which were further impacted by issues with the ramp used for guests disembarking the ship. This also delayed the immigration officers getting on board, which meant many passengers were unable to leave the ship at the scheduled time. Although the tour was due to depart at 8:30am, we made the decision to wait until the majority of guests had cleared immigration and disembarked. Had we left at the original time, a large number of guests would sadly have missed the tour completely. We appreciate this then had a knock-on effect on the timings throughout the day, including lunch and the visit to Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle. These circumstances were outside of our control, but we do understand the impact they had on your experience. We have raised this matter with the port to see what can be done to help improve and speed up the immigration process for future cruise calls. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the distillery and that Melanie was a great host, and we will be sure to pass your kind words on to her. Thank you again for your feedback, it is genuinely appreciated and helps us continue to improve the experience for our guests. Kindest regards, The Spirit Journeys Worldwide Team
