Itinerary
Start your tour with "leaving" Interlaken and crossing the Aare river to the independent community of Unterseen. The centerpiece is the Stadthausplatz.
In 1470 Unterseen burned down for the second time, Bern then ordered the reconstruction with a town house in the middle.
Return from historic Unterseen to Interlaken by crossing the Aare river again. Passing the lock and getting into the heart of Interlaken.
The first thing to be walled in in 1946 was the open concert hall with glass windows. After completion of the construction work (new garden design, fountain, flower clock), the Kursaal was reopened. From 1955 to 1958, after further renovations, a small gaming room was added next to the bar.
The Höhenmatte is a large green area directly in Interlaken. The 14-hectare area offers great views of the mountains of the Jungfrau region, among other things. In this park there is not only the beautiful landscape, but also a variety of regularly held events and the landings of paragliders.
Dating back to 1865, this country hotel combines old-world perfection with sleek, modern touches.
On the site of today's building there was an Augustinian monastery, which was first mentioned in 1133. In 1525 the monastery was dissolved in the course of the Reformation and the monastery property went to the state of Bern. Enjoy a scenic ride on the cable car uphill the Harder Kulm, Interlaken's "local mountain" and is actually not a mountain at all, but a prominent view point of the western Harder, and is located directly north of the city center. From the restaurant and viewing platform you have a panoramic view of the Jungfrau region. Lake Thun lies to the west and Lake Brienz to the east. To the south you can see the Bödeli, with the communities of Unterseen, Interlaken and Matten, as well as the world-famous triumvirate of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
After returning from Harder Kulm, the tour will end at Interlaken

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour of Interlaken and the visit to Mt. Harder with Abraham. He was knowledgeable and personable. We recommend this tour with Abraham to anyone who wants to learn about the history of Interlaken.
City’s brand ambassador wasBollywood Director Mr Yash Chopra! His full size statue is landmark and one of tourist spots
Thank you for your feedback.
We learned alot from our tour guide. He surely knows alot about the place and its history,a very decent pleasant guy.
Thank you for your review
Beautiful time with our guide walking through the city of Interlaken. She shared history and took us to Mount Harder (so fun!!) she also gave plenty of recommendations for good eats on our own!
Thank you for your review and we're happy you enjoyed it.
The natural beauty specially the mountains, villages, lakes, rives, cleanliness etc. The transport system is also very good. The Harder Kulm and Grindelwald first is two places we have visited. So nice place to visit.

Our guide was absolutely fantastic, she knew the best tourist destinations in Interlaken and took us to a few places that were quiet and shared interesting trivia about the local culture and traditions. It’s one of the best tours we’ve taken. Highly recommend!
Mike was absolutely amazing! He has so much knowledge about the area!! He gave us alot of tips about restaurants and things to do. I am a travel agent, and will 110% recommend him to all of my clients!!! It is so nice to have a tour of the city upon arrival!!! Thank you!!
Hi Dana It was a pleasure for me to guide you through Interlaken. Would love to see you all again in Switzerland. Kind regards
Beautiful way to get to know Interlaken on our first day. Highly recommend. My only suggestion to the operator would be to end the tour at the top of Harder Mountain and give folks the choice whether to come down with the guide, or be left at the top to spend as much time as they would like. Some may choose to stay and sightsee, eat at the restaurant, or even hike back down.

Unfortunately it rained on and off but Michael skillfully guided us through Interlaken adding a lot of local color as well as a lot of background about Switzerland and Interlaken's role in it's history.

Mike was an amazing guide. Very friendly, knowledgeable, funny and great with my kids.

I wish I could have hired his services for more tours but time did not allow.

I have found a new friend in him in Switzerland and highly recommend Mike for any of your Swiss tours!
