Easy going and informative walking tour. Our guide Catherine was equally knowledgeable and great craic and full of colloquial stories
We absolutely loved the stories! Catherine was a fantastic host and an incredible storyteller. The area is so different from the busy city centre, which made it a wonderful way to experience a completely different side of Dublin. Highly recommended!
Catherine is an excellent tour guide Really interesting tour, lots of interesting information about the liberties in Dublin Highly recommend this tour
Catherine gave us a lovely tour. Full of facts as well as anecdotes and stories both tragic and funny. Nice to see some parts of my city that I am unfamiliar with. I had three family and two visitors from overseas and all enjoyed it. Thank you Catherine and In our Shoes!
Our guide Catherine gave us a knowledgeable tour around The Liberties, covering a lot of important information in a short time. Learning about the area around the city walls in ancient times was fascinating, as were the stories of Anne Devlin and Bang Bang. Catherine explained the poignant story behind the Children’s Commemorative Garden at St Audoen’s Church. She gave us a real flavour of the Liberties area, thank you.
Tour guide Adrienne Garvey is compassionate and well informed. Her tour of the Liberties provided me with some deep and meaningful learning. Totally worth doing.
Adrian is a brilliant guide who grew up in the area. She cares deeply about the community, and she has extensive knowledge to share. I’ve been on a lot of tours and this one was a highlight. I highly recommend it.
Great tour of a Dublin neighborhood that is rich in history. Catherine, my tour guide, began the tour outside the ancient Dublin City Gates and covered 1500 years of the City's history, including how the charity of some of the City's wealthy citizens, including, significantly, the Guiness family, have shaped the working-class neighborhood of the Liberties.
This is a must do tour for Dublin visitors and residents, an incredible overview and history of a lesser known history of working class peoples in Dublin and its reflections on contemporary city life. Our amazing tour guide Catherine, was fascinating as well as entertaining! 10/10 Would recommend, also some great tips on where to get the best Guinness and the best deals on rashers!
We had a really informative and educational walk and talk yesterday at 2pm with Catherine Casey. Catherine's breadth of knowledge and historical information was insightful, fun and accessible. I would highly recommend booking this tour, it was such a nice way to spend a few hours. It's amazing value for money.
