The noble families of Paigah, during the 18th century were among the most influential and powerful families of the Princely State of Hyderabad’s aristocracy. The Paigahs, who were the great patrons of tarts have extended their unmatched grace and elegance even to their exquisite tombs. The Paigah Tombs that grace the city among the many wonders that fill the pages of the most promising history. The marvelous artistry of the Paigahs is shown in the mosaic tile work that has been inlaid. The Paigah tombs, located at the Pisal Banda suburbs in Hyderabad, are most intricately carved and are enclosed in facades of pierced marble. The tombs are the finest examples of the enthralling Indo-Islamic architecture, which is a blend of both features of Asaf Jahi and Rajputani style.
Charminar was built by Sultan Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah in 1591. It is said that this square shaped structure with four pillars and intricate carvings As per a popular belief, Charminar was built to acknowledge the elimination of the plague which had affected the entire city immensely during that era. It is believed that the Sultan had prayed for the end of this plague with which his people were suffering. Hence, as the plague ended, he built the charminar as a tribute to Allah. The four pillars are also said to be dedicated to the first four caliphs of Islam. The inscription on the foundation stone is translated as ‘Fill this my city with people as, Thou hast filled the river with fishes, O Lord.’ This also indicates that the monument was built to mark the city’s foundation as well. As per the historian Historian Mohammed Safiullah, Charminar was built as an epicenter of Hyderabad.

Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, the ruler of the Golconda Sultanate, founded the city of Hyderabad, which was to serve as the new capital of the kingdom. The city plan was designed by Mir Mu'min Astarabadi, an Iranian scholar and architect. The Charminar formed the centrepiece of the new city. The four arches of the Char Kaman are located directly to the south of the Charminar The arches demarcated a piazza, called the Jilu Khana, which was surrounded by the royal palaces and the Charminar. Every morning, the noblemen along with their retinue would pass through the square, where the retinue would be left behind, while the noblemen would proceed for an audience with the sultan. In the center of the square is the Gulzar Houz, an octagonal cistern, served to provide drinking water to the waiting attendants, as well as soldiers who would stand guard along the gates of the royal residence. The arches were completed in 1592

The Moazzam Jahi market was constructed in the period 1933-1935, during the reign of Mir Osman Ali Khan. It was conceived and implemented by the City Improvement Board (CIB), which was founded in 1912 by Osman Ali Khan for the development of Hyderabad. This was one of several projects undertaken by the Board as part of an urban renewal. The market was named after prince Moazzam Jah, second son of Osman Ali Khan and president of the CIB.[3] The intention behind the market was to provide a commercial space in the area between Hyderabad Railway Station and the Residency.[4] At the time, the primary market of Hyderabad was still Mir Alam Mandi, located in an older, more congested part of the city. The building was intended to function as a fruit market, but in practice sold a variety of other produce and goods as well. In the 1980s, the building's fruit market was shifted to the Kothapet fruit market.
Public Gardens also known as Bagh-e-Aam (Bagheaam) or Bagham. In Urdu "Bagh" means Garden and Aam or "Aam Jana" means "the public" was built in 1846. during the period of the Nizam's. Post-1980 it started being called as Public Gardens. The area of the park was 54 acres.
The state Assembly building is located at the public garden in the hub of the city of Hyderabad. Hyderabad Legislative Assembly is the seat of the legislature of the state of Andhra Pradesh. It can be considered the heart and soul of Hyderabad, as this is where the power of state law and the laws are made and approved. Apart from the important function it serves, the Legislature also happens to be one of the most majestic of Hyderabad, on the outskirts of the royal palaces of the Nizams. As such it is easily one of the most imposing building in the city, and is becoming a popular destination for tourists and locals alike.
Telangana Secretariat, officially known as Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat situated at Hyderabad, is the administrative office of the employees of the Government of Telangana in India. The Telangana government on 15 September 2022 has decided to name the new Secretariat complex as Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat.[2] Designed by Chennai-based Architects Ponni Concessao and Oscar Concessao, the complex has been built by Shapoorji Pallonji and Company Pvt Limited with all Green Building Council norms. There is a 125-ft tall statue of Ambedkar beside the Telangana Secretariat.
Situated just 2km away from the heart of the city, Hussain Sagar is one of the most popular tourist places in Hyderabad. The lake connects two parts of the city (Secunderabad and Hyderabad) to each other. The largest artificial lake in Asia, Hussain Sagar lake was excavated in 1562 AD during the reign of Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah. Built on the tributary of River Musi, the lake has been named after Hussain Shah Wali. Hussain Sagar Lake was initially to build to cater to the irrigation needs and other water needs of the city. Until the year of 1930, it was used for the same purpose. At the middle of the lake, you will find a huge statue of standing Lord Buddha which has height of 16 m and weighs almost 350 tonnes. Made up of white granite, the statue is on the ‘Rock of Gibraltar’.
The statue is 125 feet tall and stands on a 50 feet high plinth, thus its total height is 175 feet. After the Statue of Social Justice in Vijayawada, this is the tallest statue of B. R. Ambedkar in the world. It is the fifth tallest, and third tallest standing statue in India.
Telangana Martyrs Memorial also called as Telangana Amara Jyothi or Amaraveerula Stupam is a monument built for 369 students who died during the 1969 agitation for a separate Telangana state. Telangana Martyrs Memorial day is observed on 2 June every year in all the districts of Telangana State. It is situated on the banks of Hussain Sagar, opposite to the Public Gardens, Hyderabad. It is the largest seamless stainless-steel memorial built in the world and is five times bigger than Cloud Gate (located in Chicago).

Hyderabad is considered the main pearl trading centre in India, because of which the city is also known as the "City of Pearls" wherein almost the entire population is engaged in the delicate art of drilling pearls, a skill they have practiced for generations. This practice also makes the city one of the largest pearl drilling locations in India. The pearl industry in Hyderabad flourished due to the patronage of the Qutub Shahi kings and the Asaf Jahis, who were said to have an affinity for sparkling jewels. The pearls were not only part of the traditional regalia of this royal clientele but the pearls' crushed form are also believed to have healing and beautifying properties. Princesses were said to be weighed against their pearls during their birthdays while Mir Osman Ali Khan, who is considered the richest among the Nizams, was said to have hoarded sacks of pearls in the basement of his palaces.

An excellent tour by Zia and driver Munner Charminar, Chowalla Palace. Very knowledgeable guide with excellent English and knowledge. Explained the culture and dynamics as well as the history. We really enjoyed the palace in particular. The litter on the streets and passing the goats being slaughtered was not so good and the only thing we didn’t like was the pearl experience where you feel under pressure to buy so if you don’t want to shop be clear about not making that stop. Otherwise a wonderful tour and an insight beyond the business district. Recommended

We had a fantastic tour and introduction to Hyderabad sights with our knowledgeable, friendly and helpful guide Srinu. We had lovely chai tea (with buffalo milk which makes it get creamy & not condensed milk!) and Osmania biscuits in the famous Nimrah cafe which were deliciously melt in the mouth along with yummy macaroons! Our guide was very patient and spoke perfect English and condensed the history of Hyderabad as much as possible and as simply - to help us tourists!! Would definitely recommend!!

We couldn’t have found a better guide in Hyderabad! Our time was extremely limited as we came from a long night journey while awaiting for a long flight back home in Europe, We only had a few hours in Hyderabad, but he was really able to help us make the most of it. His tour is really interesting and his suggestions tips and very deep knowledge of his hometown and of Indian history were precious. Shrinu is really the right person that you need if you want to maximize your time in Hyderabad. He perfectly understands the needs of his clients (in our case we really needed some rest and he combined everything perfectly). He also gave us a taste of the real Hyderabad taking us to very nice parts of the old town so we couldn’t recommend Shrinu more and we really look forward to visiting more parts of India with him thanks much for everything!

Our guide Anand Sheelam was not only very knowledgable but was also very well connected to the community. He was known wherever he went. We had the benefit of making it a customized tour to our taste. It was fascinating to hear the stories from the Qutub Shahi to the Nizams to present day Hyderabad. The highlight of the tour was the interaction with Mr Aslam, the owner of Nimrah Cafe. What a fascinating young man. We also saw the Paigah Tombs which were not covered in any tour guides or videos. Intricate work and it was all to ourselves.
Thank you for your valuable feedback. It helps us improve and continue offering great experiences , We greatly appreciate your support and look forward to welcoming again soon. Regards Hyderabad by locals +918919222247
