Just spent the most amazing afternoon at Huaqing Pool with my besties, and wow—this place is way more than just "a pool"! Our guide was hilarious and super knowledgeable, breaking down the stories behind every building (shoutout to the tragic love tale of Emperor Xuanzong and Yang Guifei—we were low-key tearing up). Pro tip: Wear comfy shoes! We wandered for hours, checking out the ruins, the museum, and even dipped our toes in a (very warm!) public spring area. If you’re in Xi’an, skip the crowded malls—this is where history *feels* alive. 10/10, would drag all my friends here again!
After a 2 hour tour, I found that I like this Palace even more than the Forbidden City or the Summer Palace (and those are both incredible). Set against such greenery with beautiful pools and gardens and hot spring bath areas, it is easy to imagine this place was a heavenly escape for emperors and their entourage.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re absolutely thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed your visit! And we love that you could imagine the emperors and their entourage finding peace here too. We hope you’ll have the chance to explore more of China’s incredible history and landscapes in the future—feel free to reach out if you need help planning your next adventure. We look forward to assisting you again soon!
Great service - we presented passports at ticket window and got our tickets easily. Easy way to get tickets for palace visit. Also recommend the nightly show at the palace - easy to book on trip.com.
