Hot Air Balloon Flight in Cappadocia with Rainbow Balloons

Rainbow baloons with their pilot Recep offered us a great flight, above the chimneys, through the canyons and over the Uchisar castle. Superb landing, wonderful experience overall.

We had a wonderful experience this morning in a hot air balloon in Cappadocia with Rainbow Balloons. I would like to thank all the staff for their great courtesy, professionalism, availability, and kindness shown at every moment. We had booked from Italy for a specific day, but due to weather conditions, it was not possible to fly. Despite this, they immediately worked to find us an available spot on another date, without any extra charge and with great honesty and fairness. A serious and reliable organization that truly puts customers and safety first. Unforgettable experience, absolutely recommended!

Out of everything, I love colours most. So in my vision of the perfect hot air balloon ride, it had to be a really colourful and bright one. Checking some providers in advance, I first found Rainbow Balloons - it's even their slogan to be "The Most Colorful Balloon Company in Cappadocia". That's also where I spotted this one balloon I especially fancied. In a chat with them beforehand, they said they couldn't promise that it would be exactly this one, as you can only make the reservation for the flight itself, not for a particular balloon. They mentioned they allocate people to the balloons based on many things, like individual hotel locations or whether there are any group bookings, and also depending on which balloons are flying on that specific day. But they tried everything and I got my favourite (TC-BT7) in the end. Happy me! Besides that, I felt lucky about the rest as well. The pick-up was on time, which does make a difference when it starts super early. Plus, the tour comes with a breakfast bag that was just right while watching the balloons slowly get inflated in the dark. And then the real magic began, and we flew over the Fairy Chimneys with our own dragon sound. I loved those whoosh whoosh blasts of the burner! In combination with the noises of the other balloons, I had that dragon thought all the time. No need to say that it's special to see the sunrise from this perspective, with hundreds of balloons around you and the surreal landscape below. A huge contrast to any ordinary morning. And being up in the balloon is so different from just chasing them from the ground. Although both are totally worth it in their own way. Once we landed, they prepared a small celebration corner and gave out a paper balloon as a keepsake. After watching them fold its big brother (deflated, the balloon looked like a giant PE parachute and must be so much fun to play around with!!), we were still back early enough in the morning to catch a regular breakfast and enjoy the other sights that region has to offer. So everything from A to Z ran perfectly and fast and I think a balloon company couldn't do any better.

After a few days of cancellations due to the weather, today was the day! While it feels like it was really close to other balloons, the crew had everything under control!

Amazing experience! In the air for 45-60 minutes, sunrise over the strange shapes of Cappadocia's landscape. Incredible views, over 100 balloons in the air all at once. The co-pilot took video which you could buy on a USB. The pilot was excellent and even landed the basket of the balloon directly on his trailer. Non alcohol sparkling wine/juice and cake afterwards. A terrific experience.

It's something you have to live to understand. Just spectacular. My only criticism is of the reckless driving of the van driver on the way back and forth. The fear we didn't have at the Globe, we suffered there.

We booked a flight through get your guide, the day before they canceled it for adverse weather, and so far nothing to object. Both them via whatsapp and get your guide via email inform us of the possibility of changing the date, too bad that each bounces the responsibility to do so to the other. Result? We had to book with another agency paying more. Be careful!

Think twice before booking with this company. Our balloon tour was cancelled because of weather conditions, which we completely understand. However, what happened next was unacceptable. To reschedule for the following day, they demanded nearly twice the amount we originally paid, saying it was their internal policy. It is unreasonable to make customers pay more for circumstances beyond their control. This practice feels opportunistic and unfair.
