First half mile of so going downhill on cobblestone streets very bumpy, then you enter river which is all rocks and boulders for trail. Horses are then taken away and they tell you to get back to where you started you will have to walk across what they say is largest suspension bridge in world. I am scared of heights and didn't want to walk across it but felt I had no other choice. They should tell you that you will be walking across massive hanging bridge over forest where there are spaces between planks you can see through so that you can make an informed decision beforehand, but I had no idea I would be put in that position. If I had known I would never have gone. Guide was great, horses were good but terrain very rocky and the unexpected bridge experience was not enjoyable at all, just scary, at least for me.

The Horseback riding activity you participated in is probably one of the most popular activities we have , as you can see by reading previous reviews. The reason the trail has rocks and boulders this time of the year is because the river is dry , Vallarta has no rain from December all the way through May. For many guests going over the suspension bridge is what makes the experience unique, you can see we have this mentioned on the description of the activity , I am sorry you did not notice while making the reservation. This will help point out to more guests that we do go over the bridge and if for any reason someone does not want to go over it , it can be avoided by letting us know prior to the start time of the activity so we can coordinate accordingly . This was my first time on a horse and I’m a Senior. I was nervous and the staff was professional, helpful and patient. I loved the experience and felt very comfortable as the ride progressed. Your business is top notch and organized. We will do this again. Poncho, my horse, was well trained. Well done!!!

It is a bit rocky most of the trip but the horses know what they're doing. Wear a bathing suit if you want to swim in the river. Recommend stable covered shoes and long pants.

We had a small group of 5 with 3 tour guides on a lovely ride with different terrain and through rivers. The horses were in good condition, happy and healthy. Enjoyed the ride

Gerardo expertly guided our small group of 3 into the mountains and across rivers and up to the tequila bar. I’m an experienced rider and the horses are well cared for and very strong and fit. Most of the ride was at the walk due to the steep terrain.

Wonderful trail ride through the jungle, high in the mountains, with multiple river crossings was exactly what I was hoping to experience! I appreciated that they drove us to a higher altitude to begin our ride so that we were far from the noise of the ATVs & felt fully immersed in the jungle. We were fortunate that my husband and I were the only guests on the trail ride. We saw many colorful butterflies & macaws. A stop halfway to dismount & stretch our legs was perfectly timed. Horses are well cared for & easy to ride. Javier was our guide & helped make our experience delightful. Enjoyed a leisurely lunch & beers after crossing the suspension bridge. Tequila tasting was fun. I was grateful that their driver took us all the way back to our resort in Nuevo Vallarta when the experience was over. Wish we had brought more pesos to tip drivers to/from as well as our guide.

My wife and I had a great time riding horses in the mountains with our guide Xavier. The views to the mountains and the jungle were stunning, they looked almost prehistoric! Xavier handed us cold water and beers on top of the mountains, which helped us with the heat. We finished our tour by walking on the Jorullo hanging bridge, which was a great surprise!

Whole experience was great. Our teens had never ridden horses before and they did great. The animals and guides were outstanding.
