This company has good reviews, but our experience was a disaster. We’re bought tickets for July 2nd-4th. After paying, they notified me that the 4th wasn’t operating. I then ordered an extension for the 5th. They notified me after that that most of the stops on route were closed do to the holiday. Then they moved my entire 72 hour pass to 7/5-7/7 without notice, so when we went to activate our ticket on 7/2, it wasn’t there any longer. I tried to reach an agent through their chat feature, but didn’t hear back from someone until hours later. By then, we had made other plans. We left to go back home on 7/6. Very disappointed.
Sunset tour was terrible. Only cemetery seen as driver took a detour, got stuck under a low bridge, all lights failed and he dangerously drove us back in the dark, missing all sights. Lucky we did not crash! Police had to attend Photos showed what we saw driving the streer.
We did the Sunset Tour. The driver used GPS to take a different route. Ended up in front of a low bridge, we had to wait for police escort, then all lights failed and he drove back to meeting point in pitch black. We did not see the sights at all. Disgraceful & dangerous should have got us a different bus
Devaughn was great thank you for your info and service
Devaughn was the best he kept up with us and gave as really good info thank you
No way to communicate questions that needed answering. Drop offs were based on traffic conditions not designated spots which meant we had no idea where we'd be picked up...consequently we were not picked up. Had to chase down the bus in 100 degree weather. No air in bus or air flow so we were all soaking wet when we got off. Absolutely miserable experience. Not worth 50 bucks let alone the $375.00 it cost me.
Hi, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're very sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating it must have been to deal with the extreme heat, difficulty locating the bus, and the lack of airflow onboard. This is certainly not the experience we aim to provide. If you have not already done so, please contact us directly with your booking details so we can review your case and assist you further. Best regards, Denis @BigBusTours
Horrible! Stops were not where they were supposed to be and not marked. Buses were not air conditioned, and it was 103 degrees. This was supposed to climate controlled!!! Thats why i picked it! When we got on the bus we waited 30 min with no air then the bus would not move. The transmission went out! We never even went anywhere! I was with my 74 year old father and this was a huge health risk for him. So we ended up taking an uber everywhere! I paid nearly $400.00 and would like a refund!!!! When we got to Arlington there was a hop on hop off bus employee there. They were offering refunds due to the issues and numerous complaints but because i booked through a third party he couldnt refund me!!!
Hi, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're very sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating this must have been, especially given the extreme weather and that you were travelling with your father. This is not the standard of service we aim to provide. As your booking was made through a third-party provider, any refund request will need to be processed through them. If you haven't already, please contact us directly with your booking details so we can review your case and assist where possible. Best regards, Denis @BigBusTours
Our driver was good but our guide was anti Trump and it was obvious. She should keep her political opinions to herself. It left a bad impression on our group of six.
Horrible company!!! Bad website and wrong location for pick up. Missed our sunset tour. Called and no response to rebook or refund. Bad website no updates for changes on 7/3/26. Thank goodness for bus staff helpful despite the companies bad service. Especially Lena and Carlos they were great!!
Carlos and Lena are lifesavers! Couldn't recommend Big Bus more!
