Drive through the historic Boulder City as you make your way to the Hoover Dam. Your guide will explain the area and history of this charming city.
Lake Mead, the country’s largest reservoir, can be seen as you arrive at the historical Hoover Dam. Your guide will explain the surrounding area and Lake Mead itself.
Check in at the Hoover Dam Lodge before joining your river guide for the rafting portion of the tour. Opportunity for a quick restroom break and view historic displays on the Hoover Dam at this stop.
It’s on to the most unique element of the tour—a 90-minute float on the Colorado River for an up-close look at the dam. See the Hoover Dam itself and the bypass bridge as you travel down the river. See concrete slabs, steps and rails used to build the Dam. A snack is provided while on the raft.
Head to the Arizona side of the Hoover Dam after your raft portion of the tour. See the Dam from above and stop off at the small gift shop. After stopping off on the Arizona side, make your way down to the Nevada side for the next portion of the tour. Your guide will walk you along the Dam and narrate the area, history and some facts. Spend some free time at the Visitor Center afterwards before returning to Las Vegas.

Excellent. Our guide John did a great job keeping us entertained and informed. What mightve been a bit of a commute from mid-Vegas was a fun conversation instead. What a fantastic day from start to finish. Our tour guide, Don, is an example of someone who truly loves his job. He greeted us at the hotel and the adventure and education didn't stop until late in the day. My wife and I were lucky enough to be Don's only customers. Don regaled us with his extensive knowledge of the area, the construction of the Hoover Dam, and the Colorado river. Literally, no detail was left untouched. Ignore the fact that he does this almost every day. The repetitious nature of his job in no way diminishes his energy and enthusiasm. He stated that he was a long-haul truck driver in a previous life. He's much better suited to this job than being isolated in a truck. The sites were breathtaking and humbling. Don dropped us off at the meeting point for the river tour. Once again, my wife and I were lucky enough to be the only guests. A huge thank you to the business owner who could have canceled our tour and rescheduled us for a day when she could make some money. She instead decided to gift us with a private river tour with Paul. Paul was an awesome guide. He continued the education Don started earlier. My wife and I were sponges all day, absorbing every detail these two incredibly knowledgeable gentlemen tossed our way. I can with great confidence recommend this tour. You won't be disappointed.

Hoover Dam is a spectacular engineering feat everyone should visit! Tour takes care of convenient pickup, comfortable luxury travel van, snack, and bag lunch. Our tour guide, Mark, took great care of us and provided excellent commentary. It was cool to start at the top of bridge, tour the plant and then go to the river for a float trip offering an amazing view from the base of the dam. Thanks for all the coordination to make it happen!
The pick up at hotel worked out great. I liked the small bus with big windows. Driver should have gone on tour with us as the exit was rather confusing.
Don was an amazing guide. Excellent communication ahead of time with reminders and suggestions about hats and sunscreen. Knowledgeable about area and Dam. Confirmed lunch orders and gave options on when to add lunch into the schedule. Highly recommend seeing the Hoover Dam from above, inside the power plant, and from below while on the river.
This was a good way to see the dam. It was very convenient to have the hotel pickup and the guide knew a lot about the history of Las Vegas and the dam which made the ride go by fast.
If you're looking for a unique way to experience the Hoover Dam and the mighty Colorado River, the Hoover Dam float trip is an absolute must. It's peaceful, scenic, and surprisingly informative. You don’t need to be super outdoorsy — it’s more of a relaxing, slow-paced drift down the river rather than an adrenaline-pumping adventure.

Our tour guide, Chris was very friendly, helpful, caring and knowledgeable about Hoover Dam history and other places in Las Vegas. Not only that, he is good in photography too.
