Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us an amazing look into the Hong Kong food scene. She took us to both sit down restaurants and small street vendors. It was a delicious experience that I would definitely recommend.
We’re so glad you enjoyed such a delicious and insightful introduction to Hong Kong’s food scene! It’s wonderful to hear the experience combined both local favorites and street food gems, giving you a true taste of the city — your recommendation truly means a lot to us.
Wonderful foodie walking tour! We had just come off a plane after 37 hours of traveling and we’re fairly exhausted but Dennis was terrific - he adjusted the amount of walking to the places we visited to match our fairly low energy, but enthusiastic desires to taste authentic Hong Kong treats. He knew the best off beat and probably little known places except for locals, we experienced delicious noodle soups, dumplings, incredible sourdough custard tarts, milk tea, and much more. Dennis was awesome.!
We’re so glad Dennis could adapt the experience to your energy level and that you got to enjoy the best of Hong Kong’s local treats from noodle soups and dumplings to custard tarts and milk tea. We hope to see you again for another foodie adventure soon.

Kiyo was one of the best local guides we ever had. Really tailored the food tour to our tastes and throughout provided rich history and local knowledge that we would have never experienced on our own. Thankyou Kiyo!!
We’re thrilled to hear Kiyo made such a strong impression on your trip! It’s wonderful that the food tour felt so perfectly tailored and that the local stories and history added depth you couldn’t have found on your own. Thank you for sharing such kind words!
Very organized pre tour experience with Urban Adventures. You fill out a questionnaire and an experienced local will plan your outing. I opted to stay within Kowloon area due to short time in HK and wanted to relax in my hotel prior to heading to airport. The local hole in the wall restaurants were amazing. I especially enjoyed a dim sum breakfast, walked along Nathan Road, went to Tin Hau Temple, The old Police HQ, Jade Market (bought a gorgeous jade ring, reasonably priced from an old Uncle), had delicious fish and preserved egg congee for lunch, amazing sugar cane juice and for my last stop, Victoria Harbor after strolling thru Kowloon Park. My local foodie guide was Ms. Karen Yan. Karen's very knowledgeable about the delicious eats around Mongkok area, very personable and truly a delight to spend my morning with. She was prompt meeting me at my hotel lobby (Hilton Garden Inn Mongkok). I especially loved the Tin Hau Temple as the experience was truly magical. I participated in the praying ritual and left feeling happy. The Jade Market was another fun experience. I opted to wander around (did not like Sandra#152 stall) but instead stumbled across an older gentleman in his 70s with a modest collection of exquisitely carved jade rings featuring a double dragon design. I spent some time chatting with Sook Sook ( Uncle in Cantonese) with Karen's help translating. Needless to say, I lucked out having Karen as my companion for the day. She's just awesome! Thank you for planning a wonderful Sunday morning with me. One feedback to the tour company is to start earlier in the day during summer time like at 8am. The earliest start date was 9am thru the booking site, Viator.
It’s wonderful to hear you had such a rich and memorable morning in Hong Kong with Karen; from hidden food gems and temples to markets and harbor views, it sounds like she made every stop engaging and personal. Thank you for highlighting both her knowledge and warmth, as well as sharing your feedback on the start time. It’s very helpful for us to know how we can make the experience even better!
Our guide was a transplanted Norwegian. Her English was wonderful, as was her knowledge of the places to visit. She customized the tour to our needs. We can’t eat like we did when we were in our 20s but still wanted to try everything (so we split things as required). Of particular note was the wonton soup in fish broth (very light).
We're thrilled to hear that your guide, a transplanted Norwegian, was able to customize the tour to fit your needs and provide such great insights. We're glad you enjoyed the wonton soup in fish broth — it's always a highlight! We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you on another tour soon!
Bertha was beyond terrific. She tailored the tour to our likes and dislikes and was a pleasure to be with.

It was a wonderful tour. Pinky was a great guide and showed us many of the Kowloon markets and two very nice places to eat.
Sounds like Pinky gave you a fantastic taste of Kowloon! Exploring the markets and discovering great local eats must have been a highlight. Glad you had a wonderful time—hope to host you again!
