I titled my review Yumi was a terrific tour guide because she was very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. Even though we did not speak Japanese, she was very prepared to help us. We would definitely take any other tours that she was a part of as a tour guide. Even after the tour was over and we were looking at a map at Sapporo station she stopped to ask us if we needed any additional help. I could not give you any one specific highlight of the tour. However, definitely try the lavender ice cream at the lavender farm 😁!
This is a great tour for families with children. While the zoo is relatively small, it offers a unique experience with several animals that we don’t commonly see in zoos in the United States, including red pandas, foxes, capybaras, and wolves. The monkeys and orangutans were especially entertaining and seemed to put on a little show for visitors, and the polar bears were surprisingly active during our visit. Since I specifically requested an English-speaking tour guide, we chose this tour instead of the Furano flower farm tour, which did not include an English-speaking guide. Additionally, when we visited in early June, many of the flowers were not yet in full bloom, so we felt the itinerary was a better fit for that time of year. The stops at the Blue Pond, Shirahige Waterfalls, and the famous tree viewpoints were all beautiful and worthwhile. Our guide was excellent and spoke three languages—English, Japanese, and Chinese. He spoke clearly and loudly enough for everyone to hear and did a great job explaining each stop along the way. I especially appreciated that he kept us informed about restroom breaks, as there were times when we would be traveling for up to 1.5 hours without a restroom stop. His organization, communication, and professionalism made the day run smoothly and helped everyone enjoy the experience. Overall, this was a well-organized tour with a good balance of sightseeing, family-friendly activities, and beautiful scenery. I would highly recommend it, especially for families visiting Hokkaido with children.
This may well be the highlight of our 8 day trip. 3 popular stops plus a relaxing bus tour through the countryside with an english speaking guide who by the way was very very good, her name was Yamada-san along with the bus driver made for a comfortable and safe 9 hour tour. I would highly encourage taking advantage of this bargain.
The spots are pretty isolated away from Sapporo so going any other way will be a lot more expensive. The spots are well worth seeing and you are given ample time to explore them. The bus was fine and the guide was nice. The farm had flowers still even so late in October which was a nice surprise. I can only imagine how great it would be to have gone earlier. The pond is beautiful and loves up to previous pictures. The zoo has plenty of cool and interesting animals. It is big and designed well to get many different views of the major animals. I recommend it!
The guide explained it in great detail and I was worried about travelling alone, but it was an enjoyable trip. Thank you. Thank you very much. It is still a hot day, but please take good care of yourself.

We were given a japanese group tour and the whole trip was explained in japanese which we do not understand . Tour guide also abit fierce , not a typical japanese lady
Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the misunderstanding regarding the tour's language. This was a Japanese-language group tour and, unfortunately, did not include an English-speaking guide. The person in charge was a tour conductor, whose primary duty is to ensure the tour schedule is followed for all participants, which may have created a different impression than a guide. We appreciate your understanding and are sorry for any discomfort this may have caused.
The guide and bus driver were great. The ride was smooth and we were on time for the whole trip. The guide also pointed out sights to see along the way as well. Would recommend this tour for people who want to see these sites, but not want to figure out travel themselves.
Pro: Tour bus and guide are on time. Went to see all the places listed with pit stops in between. Tour guide gives information both in English and Mandarin. Return to Sapporo before 6pm Cons: Abit of a hurried tour. Only time to enjoy a meal is at the zoo and it was crowded as it is the Japan school holidays. Around 30min at Biel blue pond, 1.5h at the zoo, 1h at Tomita Flower farm and got back to Sapporo before 6pm.
It was a nice day, the ride was interesting with a morning at the zoo and the afternoon to see the Blue pond and the farm.
All in one day you can see 4 different places in Hokkaido. I especially love the Blue Pond (amazing site to see) and flowers (wonderful colors)in Tomita Farm. The tour guide did not tell us that the farm was beside the parking lot where we parked. I had to go back to the driver to ask. Time was wasted. The was just ok. I get to see some animals for the 1st time. The Ningle Terraces was just ok too. You get to experience nature. The aircon at one time is too hot that makes me have a headache. Overall the trip was great and made the trip to Hokkaido memorable. I went with my Family but not teens. I went with my Sisters. There was no option at the select part above so I have to mention it here
Thank you very much for taking your time on writing this review. It means a lot for our improvement in the future. Glad that your family could spend a great moment in some of the must-visit spots of Hokkaido. If you have plans on visiting Japan again, feel free to consult with us!
