Excellent presentation of root causes and effects of slavery in this country. Connects the dots of economic, social and environmental influences which produced the situation we have inherited today..
Lonnie is a great guide. He has an excellent knowledge of slavery and its history in the United States m.
Lonnie was a knowledgeable and friendly guide. We enjoyed every moment of our time learning about Williamsburg from a member of the community!
The tour was brief but very informative. We didn’t go far, but in Colonial Williamsburg one needn’t travel far to observe the history that took place.
It was a nice tour, with a short walk about town. We learned a lot we didn’t know! Tour guide was great.
Tour guy did a great job of explaining some of the history of slavery in colonial williamsburg.
This was a fantastic tour. Lonnie gave so many details about the history of slavery in the Williamsburg area. Although the tour was about an hour, we didn’t need to walk far and the walk was on pavement. Lonnie was great about answering all questions. I definitely recommend this tour, even for locals!
Great experience!! He was very knowledgeable and was able to connect the dots to our present day. I plan on returning for sure on our next trip.
Our experience was terrible. We had a hard time finding the tour party. Lonnie Sandifer, the tour operator makes no attempt to contact his tour customers to see if they're coming or not. We totally missed the tour and paid $50 for nothing!
I do not contact customers to see if they are going on the tour, for privacy issues, I do not keep our store any customer information. When tickets are purchased the meeting place is sent in the confirmation email along with parking suggestions.
Fabulous experience to help my 10 year old understand roots of slavery. Guide had knowledge of slavery beyond the Colonial period.
